I was visiting London for business and had a late call with the folks back home in San Francisco. My friend and I were happy to find this restaurant open late and a short walk from the office. This is a smallish restaurant with not that many tables. My friend happened to be Italian and he and the waiter(owner I think) seemed to get along great. I can relate that the waiter was excited to speak Italian to someone but hey, there are two of us at the table. OK, I am sensitive like that. Not really… OK a little. We ended up eating a five course dinner and staying a while. The food was OK but not great. My favorite was the simple mozzarella and tomato appetizer. The goat cheese with spinach tart was good and rich as you would expect. The crispy bacon pasta was just ok. The cake with mascarpone cheese was very good. We finished it all with a limoncello in true Italian fashion. I thought it was a tad pricey given the food but I can’t complain since I was happy to just get a convenient meal.

I went here with a friend who was visiting London. After meeting up for a pint at Ye Olde Mitre on a Thursday night, we strolled around the area to find somewhere to eat. I thought all the shops would have been closed, but we took a look through the window at Fabrizio’s and thought it looked like a wonderful, cozy venue. There was a big italian family sitting along one whole side of the restaurant, and it was quite nice as I think they were relatives of the restaurant owner. Everyone was laughing, smiling, and just having a nice time. I had the lamb medallions, which were tender and served with an amazing sauce. My friend chose a pasta dish and also thought it was delicious. The portion sizes are much larger than the average in London, and the price point was a great surprise. We arrived just before the kitchen closed, and the owner was still very nice about it. I will definitely go again soon.

Ate lunch here a couple weeks back with some friends. I was not expecting much, since it doesn’t look too impressive from the street. Even though the place was small it seemed cozy and the friendly employees were accommodating(they let us sit where ever we wanted). I ordered the spaghetti with clams and was a big fan of that. Their main dishes looked and sounded delicious but just seemed too heavy for lunch. I am not much of a wine drinker– but they did have quite a few good options. Although this place seemed a little small and quiet for my tastes it may be great for an intimate dinner. I will likely go back some time to try some main dishes.

A little tucked away, but next to Daddy Donkey Mexican. The service was exceptional, the food superb and the wine selection very good. The clams in spaghetti, chilies and cherry tomatoes is awesome. The appetizers we had were the Prawns and the chicken livers … damn !!! I had the Lamb in a cranberry sauce … with mashed potatoes … roll me out Johnny !!! You have to try this place. The staff was so sincere …

Great little Italian restaurant. Absolutely AMAZING panna cotta, so always save room for dessert. The staff are friendly and attentive and the pasta of the day(tagliatelle with stewed pork belly) was delicious.

This small Italian eatery came recommended by a friends flatmate, and first impressions were good. A warm cozy interior, a friendly owner who walked us through the days specials. But this is where it stopped… We initially chose a table near the back of the restaurant, but the owner then suggested we move closer to the window(a clever marketing trick). We obliged, and the waitress took our coats which was a nice touch. We skipped the pricey £8 starters and shared a mixed salad which was ok. As for the menu, there were a few specials, I decided to try the ravioli as we had read good things about the crab ravioli here on Unilocal. However I erred and went off-chart, with my order of the days special which was a ‘Potatoe & Mushroom’ ravioli with an invisible pistachio sauce. Disappointing, bland and overly creamy. My friends conchigliette with broccoli is not much better; scattered with slices of pepperoni that wouldn’t look amiss on a slice of pizza, unusual. For dessert we tried the Tiramisu after Emily J’s suggestion, and while not bad, this is lacking in the booze department. The Limencello and Ricotta Cannelloni was even less impressive. Perhaps we lucked out with our choices, but at these prices, we’re in no hurry to return.

Took a client here for lunch recently after seeing the positive reviews and I was very impressed. Big Dave loves Italian restaraunts with a family run feel, none of this Carluccio’s rubbish for the big man. No sir. Top quality food, big portions too, and a very nice wine list. Had a lovely bottle of red with my meal and couldn’t believe my eyes when I saw the bill — I thought he’d forgotten to charge one of us. Very reasonable indeed. Big Dave can’t wait to go back. Only negative would be that it was very hot in there… Update: after eating there again recently, Big Dave has now upgraded this joint to 5 stars. Simply incredible food — they really pulled it out the bag. Highly recommend the pasta specials. Get involved in this amazing Italian…

A jewel of a restaurant serving jolly good Italian food and just around the corner from Hatton Garden. Very good food and service plus a very friendly host. Loved the pasta.

While I was having my jewellery repaired around the coner in Hatton Garden, I fell on this great little Italian restaurant — I think it is actually Sicilian. Charming owner and the service very attentive. The food was excellent and cooked to perfection and the right wine choice was advised too. Totally unpretentious, fairy basic interior but nonetheless an all round gem

I went here last night with a bunch of girls for a friend’s birthday. Not only is this little Italian place right around the corner from me, but it is absolutely delicious. The owner greeted us enthusiastically and made sure we were very comfortable throughout our meal. We split two bottles of their house sauvignon blanc and then all got different entrees. After much deliberation, I ended up ordering the crab ravioli. It was probably some of the best ravioli I have had, and I have had a lot of ravioli. Served in a light cream sauce topped with arugula, it was the perfect combination of the sweetness of the sauce, the bitterness of the arugula, and the slight saltiness of the pasta. All of the pastas at Frabrizio’s are homemade and you can really tell. For dessert, the birthday girl and I shared a tiramisu. Unlike traditional tiramisu, this dessert was a bit more unstructured that most. The taste was incredible, I would go back there just to have another!

Sitting just off Hatton Garden, and looking utterly unprepossessing, Fabrizio is a little gem of an Italian restaurant. I have eaten here at lunchtime a few times, and have never, ever had a duff meal. In addition to the expected Italian pasta(and I can utterly heartedly recommend the clam sauce), there are mains of(for example) lamb and veal, and there are often specials, both on and off the menu. The bread too is wonderful, and I often get through far more of it than is good for me. The service is attentive(it is a small restaurant) and they always seem to have plenty of friendly staff. There is a wine list, however, I can recommend the house red. In common with many good restaurants, the house wines are carefully chosen, reasonably(around £14) priced for the area, and quite tasty. Whilst not expensive, this isn’t a cheap lunch — this isn’t a café. Lunch for two with wine will likely run you around £40(without starters apart from bread and olives or sweet). However, as a tasty lunchtime treat from time to time, I can certainly recommend it.
