We had the misfortune of ending up here lastnight. Despite being empty, the service was non-existant. We sat outside under the heaters– which work really well. We were seated, then the man rushed off. I caught the attention of a waitress & she said ‘wait a minute’. She then went to an empty table, straightened the cutlery, went to another & straighted a napkin, before coming back. All I wanted was the happy hour menu which the 1st waiter hadnt given us. Then she said is a snappy way ‘Oh, what time is it?’ I told her the time(15mins before the end of their happy hour), then she went & checked on the computer screen, then came back again & said we only had 2mins to choose! I had to ask again for the menu, which took another 5mins to bring back. We finally got an order in, but they didnt have 1 of the beers on their limited range– leaving 1 beer to choose from! When the drinks arrived, she had forgotten one that we had ordered, & woudlnt let us have it for the happy hour price– as it was now AFTER7pm. She asked whether we wanted food, & we said ‘yes, give us a few minutes please’.We finished our drinks & sat there another 30mins. No staff returned to see if we wanted to order food or more drinks, so we paid & left. They add a 12.5% charge for ‘service’, so make sure you remove that if you have the misfortune to go here.

This place is dreadful! The menu looks amazing and so unique. I love pizza but am so bored of having the same thing all the time so I thought I would give this place a go as it serves pizzas from all around the world. I admit, that I did go on a very busy day but that is no excuse for the service I received. We were first told by a very panicked woman that there was a waiting time of 15 minutes for a table so she said that we could wait at the bar. The bar was packed with a party of screaming kids who were also waiting for a table so we asked her if we could leave and come back in 15 minutes, she said fine. We came back and she had forgotten about us and we saw other couples who arrived after us seated. We had to literally chase her around the restaurant before she would even talk to us and then she said that the only tables were now outside. We went to sit outside and were completlety forgotten about! No one came to take even a drinks order, we waited 20 minutes and then left. I am never, ever going back.

Have you ever got bored of the same pizza? The same same pizza toppings and crust? Did I hear you say YES! well of course you have! we all have. But, ladies and gentle– i restore hope to you, there is more, the possibilities are endless and you’ll agree when you see the menu. The pizza’s are cleverly catergorised into different countries and cities. Its fantastic. Great for veg(which is strange but Oh so true!) and even better for the non veg. The starters– totally recommendatory! the breadcrumb fried mozzarella bits with tomato chutney. Delish! Delish! Delish… *confession!* I actually sat and act the tomato chutney on its own after the cheese bits were done. hehe. Oh so good. The service was top notch. Paying the service charge was actually pleasurable rather than annoying. The setting and atmosphere was great. It was comfortable and classy at the same time– yet so casual. Its funny but its a all rounder! Defs going again!- see you there.

I’m afraid the food in this place was dreadful. The service however and courtesy was great and the atmosphere also fab. I was excited when I walked in as the pizza’s looked creative and the menu’s looked delightful, they promised so much more. When they arrived, they were the blandest most boring tasting pizza’s I have ever eaten! And Im not being dramatic. I had to load my pizza with chilli and hot sauce to just even remind myself I wasn’t just eating bread! Both of my friends had the same issue, just pure flavourless!

Super pizzeria multiculturelle… La déco est superbe, moderne et spacieuse. Toilettes ultra propres.

This place gets a one star simply for having Leffe as a beer option. That’s really about as good as it gets… i’ll never bother going to this branch again and it’s put me off visiting any of the others. Now perhaps it’s because I have high standards, I don’t know. But I don’t expect to wait over 5 minutes just to get a menu in a half empty pizza restaurant. I certainly don’t expect it to take another 15 minutes for anyone to acknowledge our existence, a feat only achieved by my waving as if I was having some sort of continuous muscle spasm in my right arm. To top it all(really no pun intended) the glass of red wine and bottle of beer we ordered took a further 10 minutes to arrive. In a busy place that would be just about forgiveable, if still annoying but not when at less than 50% capacity. When the food arrived — certainly a lot faster than the drinks — the pizzas(if you can call them that) were greasy, smothered in oil and didn’t require much chewing. They more or less slid down of their own accord. All in all an utterly horrific experience. So it was nice of them to automatically add the ‘optional’ service charge. Bunch of jokers… you almost have to admire their cheek in doing that.

Such a shame. This experience could have been so much better… if it were not for the people. ‘Explain’ I hear you mutter. Well, the company was awesome, as always(I only dine out with the finest Unilocalers, as well you all know). No, it was the other people in the place. For a start, it was 8 pm after a film and there were still kicking screaming, coke-spilling toddlers in there. I blame their parents, if I’m honest. Then there was the waiter. First, he offered olives to start, to which I said yes, only for him to then serve us olives, breadsticks and dips. Er… not what you offered, sir. A little put-off before the bill arrived, I was a little angry when it did. One of my pet hates about restaurants is the ‘optional’ 12.5% service charge they tag on the end, and then when you pay with card, they add it without asking. Without enough cash to cover the cost, I had to ask the aforementioned awesome co-diner to pay, to be paid back later, as I wasn’t wanting to tip well. As we were leaving, having left a nearer 8% tip, we were asked by the waiter why we hadn’t paid the 12.5%. Er, for starters, because you’re asking me that question, mate. Secondly, it says ‘optional’. Nag over, the food was really good. I loved the pizza base and the inventive toppings. The wine list was good and the prices reasonable without being cheap, per say. I’d go back to a different branch, defo.

I wa suckered into going here by the cheap 2 for £10 deal. This place is awful. The restaurant was practically empty but the service was still achingly slow and frankly by the time they brought our pizzas I wish they hadn’t bothered. I was intrigued by the toppings including one that appeared to be a roast dinner atop a pizza. There’s a simple reason this hasn’t caught on, it’s madness. The dough was thick and chewy, the chicken was dry and the whole thing was smothered in sickly sweet chili sauce. It was so bad I felt physically ill after eating about 2 bites. My friend’s pizza was equally terrible in case you think I just made the wrong choice. Never again, there are much better places to eat in westfield.

If you’re hungry and shopping around the massive Westfield in Shepherd’s Bush, I’d highly recommend Fire & Stone for some post-splurge fuel. At first, I was put off by their silly menu. Each of their pizzas are named after a city, separated into sections by region. For example, I had the Cairo, while my friend had the Peking. I’m not sure what is so Egyptian about goat’s cheese, roasted peppers, and caramelised onions, but there you go. The service was quick, the house red was a very nice Malbec(bonus), and the pizza was hot and fresh and very filling. They also allow painless alterations if you so choose. You may ask for pizzas without certain toppings, but unfortunately you aren’t allowed to substitute or add anything different. That would be my one criticism. For a chain, it ain’t bad.

This is the second Fire and Stone in London, and the two branches specialise in interesting pizza toppings — I had the Bombay, covered in spicy marinated chicken, raita, mango chutney with the usual cheese and tomato base. My partner ate a Lombok — prawns and hoi sin if I remember rightly — and our friend an Acauplco, which is basically a big pile of chilli, soured cream and jalapenos on a pizza base. The ambience is nice enough for something that’s entrely prefab in a shopping centre and the finishing of the restuarant is fine. We went on a Tuesday though and like the Covent Garden branch it suffers from excruciatingly slow service — the table next door watched their pizzas slowly cool on the counter for literally five minutes before a waitress could be bothered to do anything and it took them no less then ten minutes after our drinks order to figure out they didn’t have draught beer on that day. The drinks are extremely overpriced(see the website for continual good offers at the branch though) and I agree with the previous poster about the pizza bases — they tend to be thick, a bit soggy, and a little chewy. interesting but it’s not a huge favourite of mine.

Seems like we are on a bit of a mission to find the best credit crunch deals at pizza restaurants at the moment excited to come across a 2 pizzas for £10 offer at Fire and Stone. Another trip to Westfields on previous occasions we must have walked right past this branch of Fire and Stone. It actually isn’t too obvious from the outside what’s on offer inside and I hadn’t heard of this new chain before(seems like almost all the eateries at Westfields are new, which is quite nice, but still). The place feels like it caters for large crowds and parties at night time, perhaps in anticipation of the cinema opening later this year. A Sunday lunchtime visit was a bit of a sad affair, there was hardly anyone around, but the music was still catering for parties — rather annoying. Back to our special offer, which excluded their extra-special premium pizzas, but the choice of regulars is great enough. It is nice to see a different selection from the usual margharitas and fiorentinas and we both went for antipedean choices. Just reading names like Melbourne and Byron Bay get you in a good mood, and the toppings sounded — and tasted — great. Not completely sure yet what to make of the base — we’ll have to try again :-) The cheap deal was destroyed by overpriced drinks, which is a great shame. The prices sound about right for their main branch in Covent Garden, but are just aspirational and off-putting in Shepherds Bush.

A cut above your standard pizzeria, with stylish décor and all their pizzas named after cities. A wide range of ingredients too, including potatoes, pesto, german sausage and I think blood pudding as options!

The pizza is shocking and inedible. I will never go back to this place as it is awful.
