Came here for a quick lunch and catch up. I ordered the feta and butternut salad. It was lovely. The salad had diced beetroot, feta, butternut squash, red onions, ginger, salad leaves, toasted pumpkin seeds and balsamic dressing. It was a lovely light lunch that’s quite healthy. My friend ordered a pasta and got food envy when my salad came that she came back a few days later just for the salad. I really liked the food here and would come back.

Went to the Covent Garden one about 2 years ago and the cocktails were like £6.50. Loved the Long Island. Then went to this Westfield one on Saturday and they were £8. Not sure if that’s because of location? Real put off the cocktails though. Aside from that, the pizzas were great, I had the rump steak Texas thin crust, family ordered a Florence, bolognese, risotto balls and a veggie platter. Delicious to be honest. Just the cocktails suddenly being expensive was the only let down.

I went to Fire & Stone today for the first time and was not impressed. The menu has a good variety and maybe I chose wrong. The Mexico city pizza was definitely not what I was expecting. It was only OK. I’ll never choose a pizza with potatoes on it again. My husband chose the Arizona, which was definitely better. We also had sundaes and, even though they were tasty, they had more cream than ice cream… Good thing is we went on a taste card, so I think we paid a fair price for the normal food I had.

I don’t know what happened to Fire and Stone since the last time I visited a couple of years ago but the menu has taken an unusual turn and not for better. I guess the chain needed a differentiator with other pizza joints and they found that in unusual pizza toppings, named after cities around the world and none really appealing more than once. To me, this was not a place to go regularly and have a nice pizza, but a place to go once and try a novelty pizza.

I was really hungry last Saturday and convinced my other half to try this restaurant because I remembered one of my friends tell me how good the pizzas were. I must say the toppings are really good, most of them can’t be found anywhere else, but you have to be really careful with what you order or you can end up unsatisfied. We ordered the Cape Town pizza, which was quite ok and the Queensland which was quite disappointing. When we were asked if we wanted to pay 1.25 extra for a thin crust, we said no because we do not like thin crust. But what we did not know is what they meant: larger equally thin pizza. When you are charging over 10 £ for a small pizza, charging extra for a normal size pizza seems a bit too much. We also ordered calamari, that were ok, but equally overpriced for the quantity. Regarding the drinks we had a pineapple juice that was just ok and I ordered a berry juice(tutti fruitti) that was unusually warm. Ah! Service charge is not included. So we ended up paying £41 something. Will I come back? No.

Last time I’ve been here was about 2 years ago and I never made it back till last week. And OMG I asked myself why! This place is so bloody awesome! The pizzas are very special in a good way! Different toppings that you wouldn’t usually expect and it all tastes so great together. This time I also tried a salad and my friend too and this is(believe it or not) even better than the pizza! I don’t like rocket that much and my goats cheese and sundried tomato salad was full of it and I still loved it to pieces! Maybe it was because we cycled from Liverpool Street to SheBu and I was really hungry… but nope I think it’s just a really good place with supertasty food! I will be back and it won’t take 2 years this time for sure!

I had the Florence which was delicious. The floury crust is particularly tasty. My boyfriend got the Seville which I thought was rather bland. The cocktail I had was slightly medicinal(raspberry mojito) but the lychee martini my boyfriend got was tasty so I guess I just ordered wrong. The service was good and the restaurant was quite festive for the holidays.
