Average burger and average staff. The restaurant is very small with some outside space. I would actually expect more for the money…

Good burgers. Had the Tex Mex one. Good flavour. Very large. Sort of expensive, but overall would go again.

Great burgers friendly staff. The service is very laid back and a little slack at times but it’s still a local regular besides. You can get great deals if you use their app and they also support the taste card for great discounts during the week. You can’t go wrong if you want a tasty burger at Gourmet Burger West Hampstead.

In the«Quick Service Restaurant» business, GBK would be called«fast casual,» one step up from a Mickey D’s, so those reviewers expecting table service and being grumpy in their reviews is just silly. And complaining the burgers are too big? I suspect if they had all their money handed back to them, they’d complain about that, too. At the West Hampstead location, i had good quality beef, great fries, and the woman behind the counter was quite friendly. These are thin fries, not big potato wedges, but they were tasty and non-greasy. If you’re in the mood for a decent burger and not ridiculously picky, you’ll enjoy this GBK.

My favorite and local GBK restaurant. Service is amazing — they’re so friendly! you’ll be impressed. I found out yesterday that GBK now provide table service which is pretty cool but I preferred paying before I eat. I’m not fussed either way. Burgers are always fresh and tender with great salad and chunky chips. I love the consistency of service and quality. I also love the Buffalo burger with mozzarella .Mmm. But 99% of their other burgers are yummy too — please don’t order the Classic it’s too boring! This GBK is pretty small but I see it as cosy but that also means it gets busy quickly.

GBK is part of a chain but retains and independant feel. There is a massive selection of burgers, the bacon and avacado is my personal favourite. The restaurant is relatively small but there is seating outside for warmer months. You will pay roughly £10-£15 for a burger, drink and chips which is well worth the money for the portion sizes on offer. Service is efficient and the tables turnover quickly so you never have to wait long for a seat. Take-aways are available and also very popular.

GBK was a bit of a gimmick a few years ago, but it is already beginning to feel a tired chain that’s run out of ideas, and the recent heavily-advertised 2 for 1 offers suggested they were desperate to start pulling in the punters again. There’s nothing wrong per se with the idea of a decent burger, but the idea of paying premium prices to be seated at a plastic-topped table and told by a bored employee to order from the bar area doesn’t really fit with that concept. The food itself is reasonable enough — good quality meat, cooked the right side of medium, and a modicum of thought in the different toppings; but I’m not convinced it’s enough to warrant anything other than one or two visits for curiosity’s sake. Given the drinks selection is limited and over-priced and chips are charged as extra, you might well be better off getting a steak in a ‘proper’ restaurant for a similar price.

Great burger. Non existent customer service, to the point that you’re reminded of MacDonalds by having to pay at the till. I had the avocado and bacon burger and it came stacked so high the only way of eating it was with a knife and fork. I tried to pick it up and eat it, but to no avail. I’m not sure you should need cutlery to eat a burger, but it tasted good and the salad and slaw was inexpensive and plentiful. I think I’ll give it another go, just to see what it deserves another star.

Well! Well! Well! What can I say about this restaurant, apart from the fact that they make burger posh. I am not a big fan of burger, so when a friend suggested we had dinner at this restaurant, it was no surprise that I had some reservations. Anyway, I decided to go, as it would be nice to have something different from my usual favourite(Chinese). The décor was cool, a little bit similar to nandos style design i.e. craft and stuff, it however had some originality to it. The style of ordering did not really go down with me, choosing a table and then going over to order and pay; I’m sure most people don’t mind so I’ll put it down to personal choice. My gosh, the burger was Massive! The taste wasn’t bad, fresh and well cooked, but I was expecting something tastier for the price I paid(about £10). I did not go for the chips as they were overly priced and it didn’t look too good on the plate next table. Oh boy! Did my jaw get wider after eating the burger? Yep it sure did. The staffs were not the friendliest and the waiting time for your meal was not impressive. Apart from that, it is a nice place for a decent lunch and casual dinner.

Worth checking out — for any red-blooded fans of red meat. Fancy burger chains seem to be springing up all over the place. But a burger is a burger is a burger right? You won’t get much different to your local macdonalds right? Wrong. This place offers some of the finest burgers around. The key as with any great restaurant(and yes a burger joint is a restaurant!) is the ingredients. They use only the finest and boy can you taste it. One minor quibble the service could have been a little faster, but all in all thoroughly recommended.

This is possibly one of the best burger joints I have ever been to– and reasonable for whats on offer! There is a wide array of burgers on ofer– both meat based and vegetarian. I normally opt for a plain burger, but when I am not in the mood for meat, their falafel burger is also a winner. Make sure you order a side of their delicious fries as these are almost as good as the burgers. Service is friendly and efficient. This is a great place to have a quick burger when you are not in the mood to compromise on quality!

Oh boy, there aren’t really words to describe how much I love this place. Everyone I know loves this burger restaurant — even my grandma! The choice of burgers is extensive, and they are always adding to the menu. My favourite is Chicken with Camembert and Cranberry, but there are so many other good ones too. Perfectly fine for non-meat eaters too — they are just so inventive they have things like Portebello Mushroom Burgers, Falafel Burgers and Aubergine Burgers. They recently added a selection of salads to the menu too. The milkshakes are excellent and although they are quite pricey, they are huge so you can split them between two of you and still be satisfied. The burgers stand tall on your plate(I think they advertise that they are 6inches) and they are so generous with toppings that it can all get a bit messy, but that’s all part of the fun! Might not be a great place for a first date though — it’s hard to impress when you have cranberry sauce running down your chin… The staff are always friendly and it is an informal place — you place your order and pay at the till before you eat. There is also a branch on Belsize Lane, and both have outdoor seating areas with heaters.(There are other GBK locations, but these are the only two I have visited, so far…) All I can say is, GO! You won’t regret it!
