One of my favorite breakfast spots in Dalston. Everything from the décor to the food is great. The staff are incredibly friendly and we ended up having a good chat to our lovely waitress. The smashed avocado with grilled halloumi is probably my favorite dish on the brunch menu at the moment. Everything is cooked incredibly well, with no flavor too over whelming that it ruins the whole meal like in some other places I’ve been. Everything is prepared fresh and you can really taste the difference because of it. Great for people watching the fashionistas of Dalston too.

The best ambience and place for a really nice breakfast/brunch/lunch. They use the best ingredients with everything organically sourced and sustainable. The coffee is delicious, amazing pancakes and perfectly poached eggs.

I really love this place but am very sad that say that the rudeness of the waitress with short hair has really put off my next visit.

Very nice staff. Great location. Reminds me of breakfasts in Melbourne, Australia. The coffee is on point too. Try the pancakes.

Amazing food. We had the pulled pork sliders and meatballs. Best sliders I’ve ever had. The staff were nice and the food came out very quickly. We will definitely be back to try the breakfast.

Ivy’s Mess Hall is fantastic for brunch. The cool dark wooden interior with indoor ferns peppered throughout, as well as the choice of communal bench seating or more private tables, makes it an ideal place to sit, relax and gather your thoughts. The coffee is fantastic, I assume carrying on from their Antipodean roots. Their daytime menu is healthy, filling and unbelievably tasty. I can’t get enough of their beetroot and goat’s cheese salad. Lots of vegetarian options also. The service is always friendly. A great place to dine alone, or bring a friend. A welcome addition in Dalston.

Love this place. It’s smack in the middle of Dalston, so yes, you do need to «put up» with a Hipster vibe. Their coffee is great, and their food even better! Healthy, reasonably priced and you can add plenty of extra sides to your meal. Try the Avocado on toast with a poached egg — so so delicious! It tends to get quite crowded(no surprise there!) on the weekends for Brunch, so choose your time wisely.
