Korsan is located a little way off the beaten track of Shoreditch nightspots and as such cannot boast the popularity or glamour of its trendier brothers and sisters. This is not to suggest, however, that Korsan is devoid of party atmosphere. To the contrary, this out of the way venue makes up in substance what it lacks in style with a venue wholly dedicated to the excellent music on offer. The exterior is a little dull and depressing whilst the interior goes out and out minimalist with the increasingly popular squat party look of a grimy basement. The space is excellent however and the lack of features keeps your mind firmly on the music. Which, by the way, is fantastic! Alternate nights of electro and dubstep pack in the punters and grind out some viscious beats for your eardrum-popping pleasure. Because of the location drinks prices are lower than most other places in the area with a pint setting you back a reasonable £3. Still a relatively unknown entity, Korsan lacks that special something that would take it from a great venue to an incredible one.
