I am obsessed with La Barca and it’s not just because it’s a 5 minute walk from my flat. Their pizzas are awesome and cheap, and the staff are great. It’s something with the mozzarella they use that just makes it amazing. My absolute favorite pie is the Kapour and I recommend it to anyone who eats there for the first time. It’s veggie, but you could add Italian sausage to it if you want. You can also order their pizza and take it into the Shakespear pub next door.

I’m originally a New Yorker and this is the only place I have eaten pizza at(in London) that doesn’t make me regret it. I haven’t had any of the pastas or anything else. Just plain margharita pizzas, as pizza should be. And I just found out they deliver to where I live, which is double bonus, and it’s cheap as well. If you buy one, you get a second half off. Update — No they don’t deliver to where I live. Their website is bogus and doesn’t actually order pizza even though it takes your CC details and sends you a confirmation email. Avoid.

Okay so this cute little pizzeria is right next door to The Shakesphere and will probably be overlooked by most. But never judge a book by its cover! The pizzas here are amazing, cooked in about 15 minutes, they use fresh ingredients, thin but soft bases and are outstanding value for money. They do a veggie special with fresh rocket on the top which is to die for. Don’t eat in, go next door, grab yourself a pint to go with this pizza. Or if you’re like me, walk in on your way home from work and eat it in front of the TV. The best way to slob out after a hard day at work. Think about the diet tomorrow hey?!
