I entered this establishment, expecting a healthy debate on the failure of capitalism and the necessary rebalancing of social values against corporate greed. Only to find a cheap barber shop with no bust of Karl Marx anywhere to be seen! Actually, this is where I come for my regular £5 haircut with clippers. There may be a short wait if there’s a queue but otherwise, the service is fast and you can’t really go wrong with a clipper cut! They do offer other more elaborate haircuts, which do also seem cheap but I can’t vouch for how well these turn out. Another nice touch is that the people working here are from Malaysia and happen to speak hokkien, the dialect of Chinese that I speak, so it’s nice to also have a natter in hokkien to make sure I don’t lose the knack! Snip snip. I’m going to cut this review off here.
