Mews Cocktail & Lounge Bar

I really like this place. It’s not too crazy on a Friday night (though perhaps we just got lucky) and we got two seats right at the bar. The bartenders were awesome, service was great, and the drinks are fantastic and well crafted.

I don’t know what’s taken me so long to write a review of this place. considering im there on a bloody weekly basis haha. Anyhoo back to business! The venue has a dark western vintage-​y feel to it if that makes sense. The staff are friendly and the cocktails are great but then again it depends on which bartender you get because the first time I went there I got pg rated cocktails with zero alcohol because the bartender was being a stingy git! Never understand why some people are like that! The second time the new bartender made me forget my own name! So it’s all a gamble but a good one if get a good bartender

Ok I have to be honest. It depends on the bartender. The first guy was so stingy with the alcohol… I mean, I’m not pregnant dammit! Pour the damn Vodka! So I left very sober after 3 drinks. Weird.
I decided to give the place another chance, glad I did… the second guy was amazing! He made the best drinks… he was hot too, I guess that helped lol but he took his time unlike the first guy, the drinks were fab!

First time here and visited after having dinner in the restaurant upstairs.
Laid back cocktail bar with, best of all, table service (of which I am a big fan of!). Outside seemed to be more busy than inside (again which suits me fine!).
Spacious seating inside with low level music which gives a nice atmosphere but, allows you to actually talk to each other in your own cosy space.
Waitress did initially forget what our order was, but was honest enough to say so (so had a chuckle about that) but then presented me with the wrong cocktail. Mistake corrected swiftly with the wrong one left as a freebie.
Reasonably expensive cocktails, around £14−15 however, what you kind of expect for this area.
Sounded like there was a club downstairs but we didn’t venture there. Maybe next time!

So first time here and I think I had a mixed time of it. The setting is nice, trendy, but has limited seating areas. The seating arrangements are more suited to groups than couples. Seating is available at the bar but if you want a relaxing drink and a conversation that might not be the best place.
A bonus is that table service is readily available, if you can find a seat that is. They do have seating outside which on a warm summer evening would be a good option however its not summer at the moment.
The cocktail selection is good and once we had figured out what we wanted we did manage to attract someones attention. She took our order and off she went, only to come back a few minutes later to take the order again as she had forgotten once she had got ti the bar!!!
Drama over our drinks arrived, well so we thought one was correct (well I think it was but not totally convinced) and one was way off what was ordered! So once we had pointed out the mistake we managed to get the correct drink and they did leave us with the incorrect cocktail and they did not charge us for it, bonus.
Our entertainment was provided by the drunk in the corner who had either had a) few too many, b) a very long and tiring day. I opted for a! The entertainment was when the bouncer tried to wake him only to find that his small dog was very protective and almost took a bite out of the bouncer, this guy was clearly a regular as the bar staff all seemed to know him and they did finally wake him. His dog was clearly used to this behaviour as it walked out of the bar carring its own lead!
I liked the place and the idea of it so I will try it another time and hopefully things will be a bit smoother!

Love this place. Stopped in for a drink by accident. Had the lychee ginger martini and it was absolutely delishious. Hidden away on a quaint little back street. Has the perfect atmosphere, cute little tables outside complete with blankets. Inside is gorgeous, there’s even a shoe shinning mashine downstairs by the bathrooms. We’ll worth the stop

Cool bar, good drinks. Mix of people — some very drunk, some very cute and many just wanting to be either. Always fun. Definitely a go to destination

Great cocktails and nice party atmosphere, but the night was completely ruined by the bouncers:
We were there in the downstairs area since 6:30 in the afternoon, drinking and chatting, then a few of us went out for a cigarette just before 11, and we ended up having an argument with the bouncers because they wouldn’t let us back downstairs, they wanted us to to queue and pay to get into the club!
I ended up threatening to call the police, since my bag and jacket was still downstairs!
Really bad attitude! Shame…

There was like no one there on a Thursday night around midnight/​1am. Maybe because there were no people, the bar and lower floor area looked just dark and sparse, like a cave. Not impressed that night, but people in our group had come and had better times before.

Now this is what I call a great bar. Showed up around 11pm and got in without any issues… take the staircase down to the main floor and its like descending into fun-​land.
The bar is accessible from all sides and the 3 bartenders made sure the drinks kept flowing… shots and cocktails all night long.
DJ was on point too. he went from Hip-​Hop to Soul to Dance to Funky House… last time i had such a great time I was in Vegas

Great bar off of a great shopping street, but be prepared to spend a fair bit (even for london) Beautiful from the outside and has three very different flavors inside — quieter (but still full) dining room upstairs serving a delicious varied menu, bar on the ground floor, but most of the action is downstairs. perfect place to spend a birthday1

Downstairs is a cute little bar with great cocktails, chilled out music and beautiful décor! Relaxing in those huge, baroque seats after a hard day’s work doesn;t go amiss! The cocktails are about £8 each or something, so not great if you’re looking for a ‘credit crunch’ night out, but they are delicious. ‘Swings and roundabouts’, as they say!
We then ate in the restaurant upstairs which, although the lighting was slightly too bright for my taste, had
gorgeous food. I had the duck and my dinner guest had the lamb. Both were divine. Attentive waiting staff, extremely clean restarant area and bathrooms and to-​die-​for food made for a great evening! (Although I would have rather had the champagne at the table rather that where they kept it at the bar so I can top myself up as and when, know what I mean?)
I really want to eat at the Chef’s table, check out the website it looks fantastic! (Hint hint, if you’re reading this, Chef ;-))

This is a first class bar in London and has a great local Mayfair crowd.
Go for spirits over cocktails as the whiskey and vodka’s are amazing
Also, try a shot — Double sized shot glasses

I agree with all the reviews above! Its a stylish, cool premium bar which makes you feel classy as soon as you step in. Its unpretentious in its charm and the service is impeccable.

This bar is fantastic. It is tucked behind New bond street and you have to walk down a cobbled path to reach it (don’t do this in stilettos!!). Mews attracts the Mayfair up and coming 30 something business types. Don’t let that put you off. I’m 20 something and felt very welcomed. The crowd are great. There is nothing pretentious about Mews and I’m sure that you will make one or two friends by the end of the night. The service is brilliant glasses are never empty. The staff are very friendly. Mews is truly a find.

Great bar, but where is the recession?
Tuesday night packed to the doors and outside area completely full.
Good choice of drinks and friendly service, but Oh! the prices.
However, if you must drink in Mayfair and you want to do so in nice surroundings, then you must expect to pay.
Will definitely go again but £12 for a Mojito. Wow

A very cool bar! I have been a few times now and have have found it to be one of the best after work bars around. Its probably best to go on a Friday as it’s difficult to leave!
It attracts the more well heeled type of clientele; possibly due to the prices … :)
It has 2 floors, the upstairs tends get a bit busy and you can never sit down so I prefer the downstairs where it’s dimly let and has a more chilled atmosphere. You can generally get a seat/​table as well which means no queueing at the bar… lovely!
I am looking forward to the summer as it also has a courtyard area to drink your cocktail Al fresco… Ahhhh heaven!

The best bar/​lounge/​restaurant/​club in London if you want a stylish, low-​key night out were you can just have fun. Very stylish and relaxed setting, and a terrific crowd of people who are looking to have fun rather than pose. One place with a club, bar/​lounge with music that you can actually converse to, and a great restaurant, and everything here is set for a great night out. Nice mixed crowd of young Mayfair workers and people who make this a destination.
Music in the club downstairs is amazing, I liked every song, and everyone’s having fun and looks amazing, everyone was dancing. Drinks were great, even though not very strong.
I guess my only complaint would be that they only seem to serve one type of beer (great beer, served ICE cold, but still).

Anyone near Mayfair looking for a great bar at any point of the day should definitely check out Mews as it is a fantastic venue which looks great and has fantastic service.
During the day the upstairs bar area is a great place for lunch, offering a wide variety of dishes with comfy seating and table service.
In the evening the larger downstairs area also comes into play. The bars are excellently managed and the bar staff really know how to make great cocktails. The atmosphere is also really good and as a place for large groups or for special occasions this place is thoroughly recommended. Okay it’s a bit pricier than other places but it could be worse and you really do get quality in return.

Tucked away in Lancashire Court, just off New bond Street, is the fantastic bar called Mews of Mayfair.
It’s obvious from the outset that a lot of time and attention has gone not only in the design of the bar and it’s menu but in investing in great staff capable of ensuring that your visit in enjoyable.
Daytimes there is a wide ranging lunch-​menu offering a range of salads, sandwiches and mains which has never disappointed.
At evening the downstairs bar opens up the space and it’s late-​license ensures the place is full of the young, beautiful and slightly loaded.
Prices are more expensive than you may find in the centre of town but are akin to it’s more immediate competition. In return you’ll be gauranteed immaculate service and i would recommend this venue in particular if you were looking for somewhere to host a special night out, to impress a person or people and to end a day of business in style.
