Although this was my favourite breakfast haunt it is now closed. High street rent hikes means another wonderful independent has had to shut — save your shoe leather and weep. The Danish delight is no longer open for business.

VERYDISAPOINTEDWITHCUSTOMERSERVICE. Made a mistake with my choice and asked to change after one bite. I was told no. So ended up paying £10.00 for a cappuchino. Won’t be returning as too much good competition in Muswell Hill.

I frequent Muswell Hill on a daily basis and walk pass Nyborgs quite often, but yesterday I went in with a friend for a spot of lunch. I ordered a soya latte, which I have to say was very nice. My friend ordered a fresh juice, but they had run out of carrots, which I thought a bit strange considering it was around 1 o’clock. I also ordered the meat balls, which were«OK». I thought the service was also«OK» not very friendly, and I thought the atmosphere was rather cold. If I’m completely honest I wouldn’t rush back in a hurry. I have to say Planet Organic is still my first choice.

Me and my fiancé popped in for Sunday brunch and had the bacon butty with cheese which was amazing — really tasty bacon in a warm home baked bun :) The place is really beautiful inside and all the staff are so friendly. I especially liked the great selection cakes and other home baked goodies on offer. I can’t wait to go back and try something else.

Was in the area, in desperate need of a latte, and this little shop looked appealing :) It reminds me a lot of the cafes I frequent in Vancouver — friendly, cozy, freshly baked goods, and super nice coffee! A strong flavor(without being headache-inducing strong), with an unusually lovely aftertaste! None of that Starbucks latte taste of «Oh no something just died in my mouth!» aftertaste ;) Will definitely visit again next time I’m in the area!

I’ve never done this before… but I’m actually writing this review from Nyborg’s Kitchen right now!!! How exciting!!! I’m currently eating the Baked Egg Florentine with nutty rye bread! The egg and spinach is delicious! not sure how much I love the nutty rye bread! fairly intense stuff! I’m also drinking an Apple Press which is sooooooo gooooood!!! This will set me up nicely as I depart from Muswell Hill…

Hmm… how can I put this… well…don’t serve people very runny eggs? I ordered the Egg Florentine and it finally came out after about 15 minutes or so. I looked at the egg and it was almost translucent. Three things entered my mind: 1) Eeew, it’s raw! 2) Maybe that’s how it’s meant to be 3) Go for it. So I did and I shouldn’t have. The egg was baked in a ramekin with spinach. The water from the spinach made the egg even MORE runny and needless to say I lost my appetite, paid for my food and told them my egg was served raw. They suggested they put it back in the oven, but the damage had been done. I was still hungry and now grossed out and feeling the need to get the heck out to get some cooked food. So I had to drop them a star for their Egg Florentine. If you order it make sure you ask that they cook it.

I’d been walking by this place already a few times — with my curiosity level continuously growing until I just couldn’t help but check it out! And I am really glad I did, as what I discovered is a lovely café, which is tended and well-cared for by the people who run it. While the barista was making my coffees, I had a chat with him and Sara. The latter one seems to be the owner of this place — but not only that: she’s also the one«responsible» for all the baked goodies that I encountered on the counter. My hobby-baker eyes right away spotted the rye-bread that looked very much like the ones that I used to make… until my home-grown sourdough-starter had decided to die on me! Turns out, Sara is having her own sourdough-starter and that she’s also selling breads by the loaves. The price for one(£8 for the whole and £5 for half) is more than your usual bread, but I know how much work goes into making one and so I’m totally willing to pay that and will order a bread soon. Alright, aside from the lovely interior, the very kind staff and the fantastic assortment of home-made goodies, Nyborg’s Kitchen also features free wifi!!! What else could my heart want???
