Great value for money with excellent service. After living in the area for a while I thought it was about time I checked this place out. I came for the special lunch offer of 4 courses for £6.90.
Started with a simple salad of carrot, cabbage and lettuce with and small jug of salad sauce to pour on top. This was followed by a choice of either cod, trout, mackerel or salmon. I chose the mackerel with chips. I could just about finish the mountain of chips that they gave me and then they asked what I would like for dessert and offered my a tea or coffee too. I finished the meal with crème caramel and a Turkish coffee.
The food was delicious, the price could not be argued with and the service was friendly and quick. I will definitely be back again.

Best fish and chips in London, I very often go to the restaurant and enjoy it all the time the fish is all ways fresh and huge portion is served on the plate, I would recommend it to everyone who lives in North London to go their.

Finchley Central has always been a mecca for lovers of fish and chips (with Two Brothers) but those in the know for the past few years come here.

Although one would go to a nice Italian on a first date, I find this excellent in my retiring years. The owner waits at the table so I allways choose to sit at his station.
I don’t go to fish restaurants a lot so I end up at his restaurant about once a year — and he always recognises me and treats me like a lost relative. I have to admit, this impresses me so I will try not to be biased.
Their calamari is so nice I only ever have that for my first course and it never fails, and I have been going there for about seven years. Those of you mathematically inclined will have worked out that this is seven visits.
A lot of older clientèle there so it is a place to go to for a quiet meal with someone you feel comfortable with — and you’ll both enjoy it.
