I have been to italy a few times, and I love genuine italian food. Well, I must say I am not a fan of this restaurant. Venue looks shabby and cheap, and the food(I ordered pizza) really tasted«cheap». Not a pleasant experience.

First-rate Sardinian food, well above local restaurant standard and well into West-End levels. Gnocchi stuffed with ragu, linguine with bottarga and a very good regional wine list.

Pano Vino hidden away in dark and dank Kentish Town had remained undiscovered till my friends took me there. The food I ate there has a pleasant Mediterranean style coupled with strong Sardinian flavours. During our visit there I thought the service was very inimical bordering on unfriendly. I am wondering whether it was a bad day or something? But we were there to enjoy the food and not the service and it had all the traditional Sardinian dishes. I especially liked the linguine made with dried grey mullet roe and parsley;the gnocchi was very satisfying one of my friend’s admitted and it was served with a pork sausage sauce. We chose to kick of our dinner by ordering a starter of grilled sardines on a bed of rocket salad and Pana Carasau-traditional bread eaten by Sardinian shepherds. We finished with a traditional classic wobbly panna cotta with red fruit compote.
