This Paul is one of the smaller Pauls so more useful for a grab and go rather than eat in. You could eat in but only has one long table against a wall which is a bit squashy. The cakes at Pauls are heavenly and I never can resist if I pass one. I especially love their chocolate type mousse cake and carrot cake. They also sell sandwiches which always look so full of meat and salad bursting in fact and so fresh and i am sure they properly taste so good but alas i cant eat sandwiches.

This place has great sandwiches. You can’t go wrong with Camembert on fresh, crusty french bread. I tried the rhubarb pie which was fantastic. Cheers!

Paul is a chain of high end French Boulangerie and Patisseries which have been around since 1898. This is a typically sweet once family run bakery, which has grown with prosperity through the decades. I read that they now serve 777,504 retail customers which means a hell of alot of croissants. Of course this place is very posh, and probally even the yummy mummy’s of islington can’t afford such luxuries. I can’t say that I bought anything here due to the prices, but I had a poke around and stuffed Portefeuille selection looked marvelous(that means stuffed pastries to us common english).
