Pret A Manger is one of the biggest(maybe the only one expanded internationally) «healthy-fast-food» chain. You can find a Pret’s restaurant in many countries as the United States, Hong Kong or France. The establishments are usually big and spacious(although barely nobody stays in the interior), soberly decorated and plenty of tables, chairs and refrigerated displays full of food and drinks; everything located in a relaxing atmosphere for the customer(not for the employee, trust me). Most of the British that come in just have a coffee(or less frequently a sandwich) and leave the restaurant, but almost the 100% of the tourists eat and drink quietly in the interior. In Pret you can have a lot of different coffees, hot chocolate, various juices, cokes … for drinking, and sandwiches, salads, wraps, muffins, croissants, hot toasts … for eating. Generally, the food is tasty and Pret offers a huge variety of it, from hot to cold, meat or vegetable, sure you can find the product that fits you. The only problem I see on it is the way it is prepared: because of the huge flow of customers, the kitchen’s employees have to cook as quickly as they can(even more), and sometimes quantity prevails over quality in the products. The priority is that no shelf has less than three sandwiches(or salads, or wraps … whatever) on it. To sum up, Pret A Manger is a good option if you are hungry, in a hurry or going somewhere else, without a lot of money in the wallet and you want to eat something tasty and healthy, choosing between a large list of different products; but, personally, if I could I would choose other restaurant to eat with my friends or family.
