I went here for takeout 15 minutes before they closed. I really appreciated that they were still willing to serve me even though they had pretty much shut things down. They even gave me a little shot of limoncello to drink while I waited inside. The food was ready quickly, about 10 minutes, and it was exactly what I was hoping for. Tasty Italian comfort food for very reasonable prices. Nothing fancy, but overall great value and really nice staff. Note that they only accept cash!

Excellent service! Every customer were served with a large, delicious and delicated meal! Even thought we waited for a long time, but it’s worth! The staff were extremely polite and funny. The way he speaks and serve us made me feel very comfortable, unlike some of the restaurant I went before! To those who adore Italian food, I’d recommend this restaurant you! Lo adoro!

The negatives of mediocre service(e.g. we had to order drinks multiple times before we received them when we were only one of two tables in the restaurant), cafeteria atmosphere, grimy and oddly shaped toilet, and cash only payment are far outweighed by the positives with Spaghetti House. Comfort food to an extreme. I had the prawn risotto, the Irishman had the meat lasagne, one friend had chicken stuffed with something, and another friend had a different pasta dish. We were all in home-cooked, hungover heaven. I abstained from the booze menu due to the aforementioned hangover but wine here is the cheapest I have seen in London. The beer is reasonably priced, as well. Don’t take someone here you need to impress but if you’re hungry for some substantial, inexpensive eats, this is the place to be. I’ll be back!

I hadn’t been to Spaghetti House for a while, until I visited three times in the space of one month shortly before Christmas. It disheartens me that this restaurant isn’t on my doorstep as the food is so wonderful, the food is so cheap and at fantastic quality which is hard to find in our current economic times, the staff are welcoming, the clientèle friendly and regular and if you happen to bump into the Camden Cat serenading you on a Saturday night with Elvis songs on his guitar count yourself lucky. I reviewed Spaghetti House on my blog here:

The Spaghetti house is one of those no-frills places that you like to go back to again and again. I have to say, the food isn’t amazing, but it’s solid and oftentimes it’s just exactly what you need… comfort food. In fact, it’s already sort of an institution in the Tufnell Park area and you can see moms mingle with school kids, mingle with construction workers and senior citizens — definitely a place where you can see them all!

Great local italian restaurant opposite Tufnell Park tube. Pasta is obviously their specialty but they also do breakfasts, roasts, meats and seafood specials. I shared the coppa ham and melon starter(£7)and it was delicious! Could’ve easily been a main. I had the tagliatelle in creamy mushroom sauce as a main and found it slightly bland but my friend’s creamy salmon pasta left him quite happy, the mains were about £9 each. We shared a mixed salad which was a pretty plain salady affair with some chopped boiled eggs on it, a bit much I thought at £4 but still pretty good. Couldn’t pass up on cherry pie with caramel sauce for afters and it was the best bit of the evening(dessert normally is for me!) and I got to live out some weird Dale Cooper fantasy too with my cherry pie and coffee. Really nice place for a quick tasty meal. The old rockabilly guy that sings Jonny Cash etc on the Northern Line also plays here too in the evenings.

A nice little café, located opposite to the tube station. The general feel of the café is a rather friendly, with prices to match. The menu was very nice had a full on feel of italian food(with british breakfasts). The only problem we had was that why would not accept Credit Cards so one of our party had to run to the bank to get some money. All in all, a very place to get a quick bite.

This is my favourite restaurant ever! Not only is it cheap, friendly, cosy and personnel, the food is delicious. The restaurant itself is very welcoming, on the corner of Tufnell park junction, outside the tube station. An Italian chef runs the place, is always there with a big smile on his face, serving food very quickly and effortlessly. They don’t own a drinking licence, therefore you bring your own alcohol(threshers down the road) and save money for the yummy cherry pie and icecream dessert! You are also surrounded by various beautiful artwork, and random little dish items around the room, giving the place real character. Seriously, this is the place to go, but reserve a seat if possible because everyone seems to have the same idea.
