Ambience. Service. Food… on point! I have been meaning to go to sticks n sushi for some time and so I was happy to report that the place does live up to expectations. A friend and I went on a Thursday night and the place was half full but the service was on point. There are soooo many options for food, which was nice(but I do think I’ve tasted better sushi). The portions are tiny so you may find you either need to order quite a bit to be full. The desserts are equally miniature, but realllllly nice. I will be going back very soon.

I’ve been wanting to try here for ages and was always slightly put off as my friend found a maggot in her sushi once! But I’m an avid sushi lover and I can brush these things off! So, it’s huge in there, quite a communal feel. It’s quite dim in there as well. Could have probably benefitted from my glasses! My two main points are; it’s expensive. We didn’t over order and it came to £70 for the two of us. I might be missing something but whilst the food is good — I’ve had just as good and better in some places for a lot less. It was £8 for a large Sapporo, I mean I know there’s a mark up, but it’s like £2 in the supermarkets! That’s quite a hefty mark up! The other thing is the modern edgy design of the menu is just a little bit too ‘modern and edgy’ same with the signs on the toilets — which is why I ended up in the kitchen. Ahem. It takes quite a lot of effort to work out what is what and I dunno, it makes me wanna not bother. It don’t think it’s very well designed. Over designed. Anyway, as for the food itself I can’t complain. I has the salmon carpaccio as well as some maki(see, nothing really too extravagant!) and it was really super tasty! I might go back again, but there other places I’d wanna try first.

Been few times to this place and it’s been great every time. Food is amazing, for someone who finds sushi as nothing special, i love every single one i tried. The sticks i.e. different kind of meat and cheese was great. Wide variety of unusual cocktails and yes the sake was good to. All that topped with good customer service, it’s got to be 5 star. Will be back for more!

Absolutely loved this place! Had the opportunity to have a business lunch here and it was great all round! Top service, a great open space with really comfortable seats. Looks and feels really classy too. The food was just delicious! Presentation was beautiful and it tasted so yummy! Really recommend getting a platter with some variety on it. So many gorgeous choices. Everything tasted really high quality and we also had plenty left over as well! Great food, great atmosphere, lovely selection of drinks to choose from. What’s not to love?

The menu in this place is slightly overwhelming, but we were happy with our choices of 2 set sushi plates — ‘Mixed Emotions’ and ‘Duck, Salmon & Friends’. Great selection and more than enough to fill 2 people! The service wasn’t outstanding but pleasant enough! I would recommend booking in order to get your own table, otherwise you will end up on one of the long benches(not necessarily a bad thing if you’re a social butterfly, but I prefer a bit of privacy)

My measure is: will I go back? yes Went on Saturday and the place was packed still the service was attentive and friendly The sushi was fresh and there was a variety I asked for a spicy tuna hand roll which is not on the menu and they accommodated! Pricing is on the expensive side Menu was a bit cluttered for a first visit

Food was good enough but pricey. Menu is huge and a bit baffling, and the contrived cheers(from the kitchen at the back) as people come in(way away at the front) are just odd. Not going to rush back, tbh.

I lived in Tokyo and love great sushi. In my 17 years living in London I’ve always been surprised at the lack of really good sushi restaurants. Well, Sticks’n’Sushi is not only excellent sushi but the cocktails are amazing and there’s a good selection of beer and wines. Equally important, the service is first class and there’s a great atmosphere. This place is excellent — book in advance.

Gosh not a Japanese person in sight YET the menu and design make feel like I was in Kyoto. While this wasn’t exactly an interpretation of kaiseki(The traditional Japanese culinary art form reflects the ever-changing rhythms of the earth by taking the freshest seasonal ingredients and presenting them in their most natural states) i really really enjoyed this place…

Everything here is absolutely delicious. Highly recommend the scallops appetiser and side of duck hearts. Service is pretty good, very helpful with descriptions and selections. I’m half Japanese and especially picky about all things Japanese(we are a gourmet family of sorts) and this place executes well. Even their non Japanese elements, such as the Korean kimchi sides, are amazing and taste 100% authentic. No complaints, here. Well done.

Really, the best sushi I’ve had in London. Not only was the sushi excellent but also the cocktails tasted great! The staff and service as well were exceptional. Our lovely waiter was attentive as well and more then happy to walk you through the menu and make his own recommendations. Really I’m very impressed and will definitely be returning.

I don’t really know what the vibe is supposed to be like in Wimbledon Village. But this place was a bit too much. Trying really hard to be cool, hip and Copenhagen just didn’t seem to me what the village was all about. It has a bit of a pretentious vibe and a «I am trying to be cool but not be Zuma» attitude. The service was friendly, the sushi was fine but I just didn’t get it. I’m stumped – if someone gets it, let me know!

If I had the option to eat here everyday, I would. Forget the dim lit ambiance and the sensuality the décor exudes — this is about the food! The sashimi quality was so high, the taste so impeccable that even my husband, who doesn’t eat anything raw, had a few pieces and remarked about how lovely it was! Beef was grilled to a lovely medium rare and our sushi roll was just lovely. My sake was served brilliantly in a lovely martini shaped glass with an ice filled complimentary fitted glass bubble bottom; it’s sole purpose was to keep my drink chilled without diluting the alcohol itself. I loved this little place! I’ve spread the word and my friends have already started visiting. Make sure to make reservations if you plan to eat on a weekend as they fill up quickly.

I have been a few times and what I really enjoy the relaxed feel of the restaurant. The food is always fresh and I can’t fault the service. The last time I went we booked on the online system it was easier then having to call during peak times. We mainly order several different dishes and share which can be a bit pricey but everyone gets what they want. I personally don’t like much on the desert menu but each to their own. Overall, I would recommend Sticks n sushi fresh food, delicious cocktails and a relaxed feel.

A new sushi restaurant from Copenhagen? Weird. Alarms bells should’ve rung, but alas, sometimes novelty pays off. Very sleek room — very Scandinavian — in a nice part of town. Service was reasonably good; those imported from Denmark were great, but the local(english) servers weren’t great. Food was hit and miss, though hit is a bit of a stretch. Yakitori skewers were well cooked with nice sauce, as were meatballs. Wings were salty to an almost inedible point. Sushi was ok – good spicy tuna roll though awful hamachi sashimi bite(tomoato, sashimi, etc). I wouldn’t rush back, but if was a guest there I wouldn’t freak!
