Roti. Decent enough. Yes, it’ll be microwaved, yes the chicken will have bones — that’s what gives it the flavour. That’s how it rolls(see what I did there?) Good. Not quite enough for 4*, but I’m tough like that.

Right, I must say this little caravan is lovely and the lady who runs it even lovelier! Though I must say I was a bit disappointed. The roti was microwaved and to be honest a bit raw, my chicken curry yummy, spicy without being too hot but full of bones. Still worth going, though, just for the lovely lady!

When first introduced to the idea of buying my dinner from a caravan I was less than enthusiastic. However I was very soon proved wrong. The rotis are amazing and the curry is brill — tender chicken, spicey but not head blowing and(I’m told) an authentic taste. Approx £4.50 for a meal big enough to feed the biggest stomach. Top tips; 1 — chicken curry with roti 2 — buy an extra roti 3 — only open during the day and not at all on Sundays, Booo

This Roti van looks unassuming, but oh my god, the Roti’s are amazing, freshly cooked every day. For those of you who don’t know, a Roti is similar to an Indian Paratha, and a lot of the food here is similar to Indian– Dhal puri, aloo curry etc, as the owner comes from Guyana(Indian roots). The first time I came I had pumpkin with roti and a piece of fried fish for £3! Most dishes range from £3 to £5. I have tried the chicken curry which is really tasty, and the spinach is delicious. All the meat and vegetable curries look delicious, but whatever you have, make sure you have it with a ROTI! PS: I think it’s open every day except Wednesdays and Sundays from around 11 — 7.
