The Bridge House

The best fish and chips I’ve ever had. Lost a star because of lack of sauces, no tarter, etc. served with mayo and kind of ketchup /​tomato sauce. bartenders we’re really cool too.

Service wasn’t exactly great as i spent quite a bit of time at the door trying to figure out if it was seat myself or??? Getting the check also took forever as well.
Once being seated the barkeep/​waiter was pretty prompt in taking my order. I decided to go with a pint of Aspall and the Fish and Chip plate.
The Fish and Chips were pretty good and the pint was great. I wish i had an extra lemon or one which wasn’t dehydrated and/​or some vinegar for the table. The food runner dropped the food to the table and scurried off. I could really have used some acid to cut the heavyness of the fried batter but it happens… With that small detail aside i was very glad i stopped in.

Have a pint of Aspell’s and the shepherds pie OR the fish and chips. So good that we went twice while we were there. Great place with a great laid back feel.

I was on an open bus tour and spotted this pub as we were about to cross the Tower Bridge. This was going to be our last lunch in London, so I wanted to make sure I got some fish and chips. We made our way back to the pub and were able to get a table right away.
I went with the fish and chips and the fiancé got the burger. The fish and chips were the best I had in London. The piece of fish was huge! There is the traditional or small plate. I went with the traditional and I was overly stuffed. It was big enough for two people to share, especially since they give you a big portion of chips. The burger was a good portion and also came with fries. Flavor-​wise, it was just a regular burger, so don’t expect anything gourmet.
The prices here are reasonable, and its within waking distance if you’re getting off the open bus tour by the Tower of London.

The first night that we were in London we wanted to go to a pub for our first night so we stopped in here and had our first fish and chips of the vacation. Of all the places that we went to that claimed to have the best fish and chips, this was the best. The service of nice; the waiters were helpful in deciding what kind of drinks we should have. Really the most fantastic thing that the waiters did was they dealt with this man who was stone drunk. For us watching the situation, it was absolutely hilarious. The drunken man came in at least five times during the time that we were in there and the bar tender every time politely escorted him out. We all agreed it took a great deal of character to stay patient and polite every time while helping the man out of the pub.

I was pretty annoyed, because I had some problems with my refrigerator at home. To be completely honest — had to think about something else. Actually I went out with a couple of old friends. In my opinion this pub is nice, the atmosphere is pleasant and welcoming. You won’t regret if you go there.

Ich bin rund um zurfrieden mit diesem Pub. Das Pub liegt in der Nähe der Tower-​Bridge, daher bin ich erst einmal davon ausgegangen, dass es hier Getränke und Essen nur zu überteuerten Preisen gibt. Nun ist London ja nicht gerade für günstige Preise bekannt, aber ich fand das hier alles noch im Rahmen. Ein 0,5 Liter deutsches Bier hat hier gut 4 Pfund gekostet. Find ich fair, zumal das an dem Tag des CL-​Finale war und man mit einem ordentlichen Preisaufschlag rechnet.
Die Bedienung war sehr freundlich und schell.
Die Toiletten waren sauber.
Das Pub hat auch eine tolle Atmosphäre.

Waited almost a hour for cold fish and chips. Wife’s soup was tasteless, but she enjoyed her grilled chicken salad. Wait staff was friendly but not very good.

I love this place. I come here every time I come to London.

Awesome place for a beer and great food!

A nice friendly pub with a wide range of beers, quite light and quiet inside so maybe a better place for a nice chat of an evening rather than a heavy drinking session

Just because you can pay £8.50 for a steak sandwich doesn’t mean you should. Bad, fatty steak, overcooked and burnt toast as the ‘sandwich’. I need to immediately go eat a decent fillet mignon to get this horrible memory out of my mind.
Also full of besuited types, guffawing over glasses of chardonnay and ‘congratulating themselves on being masters of the universe’. Not really my scene.

A very modern bar near tower bridge. Quite a nice one too, deserving its spot in the good beer guide by serving a range of Adnams beers in good nick (sometimes there is a guest in residence too). I guess this is owned by Adnams?
Bit foodie I suppose, but not unbearably so.

My ghnocci was pretty bad to be honest, the pasta was cooked great but the sauce was watery and it was loaded with cheese, like i like cheese but sooooo much! ’tis a shame as the service was great and the place looks lovely, also my mums fish and chips tasted amazing. I would just reccomend not having the ghnocci!

As far as I’m aware this is the only Adnams pub in London. I’ve never rated the Adnams beers highly as their range is on the ‘safe’ side of things, meaning bland and lacking character. The Bridge House doesn’t help the breweries cause either by serving casks that are far from top condition.
The pub has a modern interior and a focus more on food then how the beer is kept. I don’t think I’d be back any time soon, as their is far more choice around the London Bridge area for good food and beer.

More of a gastro-​bar-​pub than just a pub. Modern interior, very pleasant food, great staff, great management, an upstairs bar that can hired for events, a downstairs restaurant if you just want to eat. Well kept Adnams ales, all in all a fine place.

Nice place to have a pint after work. I really like all the food they provide, especially the French fries, they are just great! Service is ok and price are decent, so if you are around Tower Bridge and desperate for a drink that can be a nice place to stop!

This is a really nice barthere are 3 floors. The top one has a balcony, the second floor is at street level on Tower Bridge, and the bottom floor is on street level out back.
I has a really nice atmosphere, and the food was Yummy as well. I have to say I can with work, but I had a really great time there. When you go outside, Tower Bridge looms over you, and it was really misty the other night so it looked incredibly dramatic.
Definitely worth a visit if you in the areaoh also they had a good selection of beer and wines.
