Had a lovely drink and meal The Furzedown last night. Food has improved immensely since last visit about 6 months ago and pub is looking a lot better. Restaurant area has been moved to the other side and there are lots of seats and sofas which make the place look inviting. There was a crowd in for the football which was on a big screen but they were all good spirited and friendly. The place is well on the way to being a great community meeting place in the Furzedown area. Loved how culturally diverse it was and a few children dotted about gave the place a lovely feel. Will definitely be returning.

I grew up in this neighborhood and have seen this venue go through many iterations. On my annual visits back to England I would give it a try, but sometimes skip a year or two based on my past experience. I would say this is the best it has been. I hope the current owners maintain the pub plus classy side of things.
Especially good place to watch a match. Drink prices are a little high, but understandeable to keep up the place and they are in a pub deficient neighborhood.

Standard boozer. Nothing special.Nicely busy but with prompt, good, friendly service. Well served. Not sure on the quality and variety of meals on offer. Have not tried the food there yet
