Good pub to watch a game. Sometimes I come here with my friends to watch football, the beer is cheap:) The garden is also very nice but the staff are not top notch. If you are on a budget try this place.

This is quite a typical wetherspoons with the exception that it will often have the football one. With any wetherspoons you have to take it with a pinch of salt as the cheapness of the drinks can drag in a fair selection of undesirables into the establishment. I got a pint of real ale for £1.38, so you can’t really complain about the price in there. The pub is actually bigger than it looks from the front as there the bar and more seating is not viewable from this vantage point since it’s down some stairs. It has a rather nice and well done out beer garden at the back. If you want a cheap night, you can’t go wrong; it you want to impress someone you will.

The Holland Tringham is the best Wetherspoon’s branch that I’ve been to in London. It’s been recently refurbished and the décor is ultra pleasant. The food is good too. The best part about this place is their beer garden. It’s absolutely fantastic. The tables are sheltered by lovely trees. In the wintertime they set up heaters so you won’t get frostbite if you want to have a fag with your cold brew. All in all, it’s a great cheap pub.

Ok i am going to have to be brutally honest & give a bit of background info, by saying that my dad died here, but don’t let that put you off, as you probably never knew him. This is a large Weatherspoons pub, an oasis in the seedy wastelands known as Streatham. This deceptively large pub, is an oasis, not because it harbours many colourful local characters who specialise in the appreciation of strong cider, the wearing of as yet unappreciated retro fashion garments(think shoes with shell suits),& unusual smelling perfumes;the hidden gem to this pub has to be the garden at the back. You can actually serenely sit out here unecumbered by the noisy, polluted, scary hustle of the A23, gently ensconced in greenery & shrubs,& yes, sitting vertically off the ground & at a table. There is a pleasantly large range of different Ales to try, making a change from the usual big brand stuff,& you are allowed to taste before you buy. Keep your eyes open, as there are many different offers on the go. So be brave, come here try some unknown drink, relax in the garden & make an unknown friend from the equally large selection of unusual,& very friendly clientele, who also seem to be in constant training for avant-garde impro theatre.
