FABULOUS family restaurant. Walked in and wondered at first because hardly a soul was there at 7:30pm. While not late, it certainly is not early for the location. But as the night went on, more and more people entered and you could tell that they were mainly regulars. Yes, this is a place where the owners and servers come to know you and where you want to return as the atmosphere, food and prices are good.
All four of us decided on different items from the menu. My husband had the fillet steak which he declared was cooked to perfection (medium rare). My mother-in-law had the sea bass and, after having tasted it myself, I declared it one of the best fish dishes I had in a long time in London. My aunt went for a special, hake, and she was very pleased with both the texture and taste. Finally, I went for the seared tuna. I requested that it be lightly seared, the less cooked the better, and they certainly did that. Beautiful! We enjoyed wine along with our meal and finished it all off by sharing deserts, which were delightful.
Yes, a restaurant to return to. It may be tough to get to for those who don’t live in the neighbourhood, but it’s worth the hassle!
