Although in the middle of a very touristic spot(Piccadilly circus), this very authentic restaurant gives you a full British experience. From the staff, the décor, and the food. Hidden few feet behind Piccadilly Circus, off Regent Street. The staff is extremely friendly and welcoming. Tried their Fish & Chips, and it was very good with a rather larger portion. The restaurant is upstairs and they have a pub/bar down stairs. However, the restaurant also have a small bar to serve the folks eating.

It’s really not good, honestly. We ordered fish and chips and chicken+ mushroom pie… Not good at all. The fish and chips, the flour fried part fell right off when we picked it up; the veggie purée is not good at all. Potato wedges are eatable. Chicken+mushroom pie, the edge is burnt, it’s just not tasty. Customers def. overrated this place. You will be disappointed. Will not be back ever again.

In London for the day and after a few hours of sightseeing we decided to stop in Picadilly Square for a bite to eat. This was a cute and authentic pub… you could see the history in the building. Since I was in London I decided on Fish and Chips with mashed peas and added a side salad along side a mango and berry cider. The cider and side salad which had rocket lettuce, cherry tomatoes, and a olive oil herb dressing tasted amazing. The fish and chips were blah — very breaded and could have used some seasoning and mashed peas tasted like dish soap. Wi-fi was not so good here but the bathroom was clean.

Great Pub! Was recommended to go here for dinner from one of my good friends who lives in london… any recommendation from a local is great, invluding the Queen’s Head. Good Classic British food. I got the fish and chips with mashed peas and a Iron Maiden Trooper Ale. The whole meal was delicious and the rest of my family also enjoyed it. Great Spot!!! Definitely go!

Four of us went for a late lunch. All had fish and chips(just BECAUSE), and all were thumbs up. Even the mashed peas were good, and I hate peas. High praise indeed. And it’s just off the tourist area, so there’s that. I’d say go for it!

The Queen’s Head is conveniently located if you’re going to one of the nearby theaters. There’s a lively pub that’s popular with locals downstairs. Upstairs, is a surprisingly quiet(given the noise downstairs) restaurant. I had a great steak and ale pie, full of big, tender chunks of meat. My friend had a tasty beef burger with fries. Highly recommended.

Excellent food and beer! My wife had a vegetarian pie and it was delicious, sort of Arab food flavours! I had a chicken one and was delicious too! Will certainly come back! Waitresses were very nice with us too!

Terrific. Be sure to go for Sunday dinner when they serve roast chicken, beef and yorkshire pudding. Their pies are to die for.

Authentic pub tucked away in a very touristy area, so a nice find. I couldn’t have picked a better four ales than the ones they had on cask — so wound up having a pint of each… Its a very small place and there’s not a lot of places to sit — but I would argue that’s both good and bad

We quite enjoyed this pub for a late lunch with kids. The starters looked great, we got the cheese and figs which was delicious. The chicken pie was a good balance of filling and flaky crust. The fish and chips were well prepared. They we’re out of the draught cider I ordered, but had a good substitute. A relaxing place to eat at affordable prices. Not touristy.

Actually not that bad — given the area it’s in. This place is a tiny affair so expect a cozy session. They tend to have a small representation of London breweries here, either on tap or in bottle. Good service. The prices are a touch premium but, given the location, you take what you can get.

I had a nice time at this pub — we reserved a few tables as it was a work colleague’s leaving do and we all sort of fit, though we definitely dominated the pub that night! It didn’t get too busy until around 7 either which was nice so we had a couple of hours where we didn’t have to yell or squeeze too much. They had some nice ciders including guest ones in boxes which were fun to try out, for fairly reasonable prices, and the bartenders new quite a bit about each one so they can find what’s best for you. Though some of the pints of beer were a bit extortionate — I truly don’t think you should be charging almost a fiver for a pint! In all a decent place, but watch out for prices!

Really nice pub with amazing steak and ale pie!!! The mash was nice and fluffy and i could hook the gravy into my veins. The servers were very nice and friendly as well. The only issue I had was that the ground floor pub section was rather small and we ended up getting a table by the door. Everytime the door opened we were freezing! Other than that, it was really great and maybe next time I’ll check out the dining room upstairs instead of just hanging out in the pub-y bit.

AMAZING Pie & Mash! We found this little gem by exploring an alley off of the main streets of Picadilly. John, the owner, was very welcoming and friendly. I went there twice while on vacation –the second time I took my sister and she too loved her pie and mash. I highly recommend the cider, butternut squash & goat cheese pie, and the herb chicken & roast onion pie. Love the feel of the pub as well. HIGHLYRECOMMEND!

Amazing pub, you won’t find another pub in central London with such a tasty selection of ales and beers! The crowd is generally a mix of Soho regulars, cool kids and punters on their way to the theatre next door. Sometimes gets very busy before the theatre, but if you’re willing to weather the crowds, you’ll be guaranteed a table in the upstairs bar after show kick off. Food always looks great, but I’ve only tried the roast, which was super tasty for a tenner. Highly recommended.

Singapore… ‘A pawwwwwww’(sung not so tunefully) Free comedy in Central London at the Queen’s Head. Full of true Londoners, and the humour is London based humour through and through(also a lot about sex.). The comedy is held in a bar upstairs which is filled with many random chairs to allow a seated audience, but many were standing so it was obviously fairly popular. Drinks, and important thing to mention at a pub, were also wide in range and cheap in price. The perfect way.

Very nice bar, not too loud. There are comedy shows a few times per week and you can enjoy fresh beers, not expensive. As this bar is located just next to the theater producing the musical«GREASE», you can sometimes meet the comedians and artists of the show!

This is a relatively quiet pub. Even though it is in Soho, a short distance from Piccadilly, it is far enough off the beaten path that there aren’t a lot of tourists or people strolling around. This is a relatively simple place. Several tables, a couple booths and a bar. They have a full bar and a decent enough selection of beers on tap. If you are in small group, i.e. you and one other person, I suggest sitting at one of the two tables up front. Nice view into the street and you can do some minor people watching. The funny thing is, I don’t think they have a jukebox, just some CD player that is attached to a small set of speakers. I say this based on the fact that in the time that I was there, the only thing that was played was Bloc Party’s «Silent Alarm» on repeat.
