First meal and drink in London and did I ever choose well. Best Scotch egg ever! A real Scotsman turned me onto it. Cask Ales from Fuller. Attentive barkers andngaged managers. Well done!

We booked Christmas lunch here and it was so lovely! The pub itself is tucked away in a neighborhood. It’s quite spacious inside with a sizable outdoor seating area. I had the butternut squash soup, beef Wellington, and chocolate parfait. The beef was cooked to perfection! The servers were really attentive and overall it was a very nice meal. I would highly recommend the Rose for a large group meal!

Toured Chelsea stadium and needed a bite to eat afterwards. It was a great find. Burgers were fantastic. My wife had the chicken salad and loved it. They even made a custom grilled cheese for my 7 year old who has a limited palette. I’d recommend the Rose Pub.

Love this pub, so happy to find it within walking distance from home. We went here for a birthday Sunday roast and it was spot on. There’s a large beer garden which is great if you catch the weather right, and the food was amazing. We had a group of about 15 people so we pre ordered a roast dinner. This came on platters of both pork(amazing!) and beef(cooked to perfection), though I know you could select the meats you wanted depending on the number of people in your group. You could then serve yourself whilst more platters came out with macaroni cheese, seasonal veg, gravy, yorkies etc etc. It went down a treat and when we asked for more gravy and veg it appeared quickly with no complaints from the staff. The puddings were great too, I will definitely be going back here.

Tasty caprese sandwich, great atmosphere. They were out of a few things but that’s understandable a few days after Christmas.

Good friends of mine live near the Rose, so we’ve come a few times for drinks and for Sunday lunch. Recently, my fiancé and I hosted our casual engagement party there, and it was a great experience. The outdoor area is absolutely beautiful: a large, lush garden that’s perfect in nice weather. They reserved several tables for us both inside and out so we could have a mix of atmosphere, and had servers come round regularly to take orders. Everyone enjoyed themselves very much, and were well-taken-care-of by the staff. When I phoned two weeks ahead to confirm, they pointed out there was a Chelsea match that evening, and were flexible in helping me adjust the time slightly and to keep fans out of our reserved area. They were able to get us well set-up with drinks before the chaos started. I’d say after a home match, the next 90 minutes or so will be very busy, but then it will die down. My fiancé and I each had a burger — one was their basic one(his I think) and one was on special(mine) — a lamb and mint burger. We both thought they were great — juicy and well-cooked. About $ 12 each, so not cheap, but it’s London so quite well within the ordinary. Their chips are delicious! They do close the patio early due to keeping the noise down for the neighbors which is a shame, but the entire is cozy and intimate, with dim lighting. We were there for nearly 8 hours and enjoyed every minute. Great place to enjoy a beer garden, have a casual party, or just enjoy a bite to eat.

I have been to the Rose Pub twice now in the last 3 months. Unfortunately on both occasions the food and service have been way below par. On our first visit we all ordered burgers, which we expected to come with chips. We waited over 40 minutes for the food, which finally came lukewarm and without chips. The waitress then explained that they couldn’t cook chips that night. Fine, but couldn’t you have told us that before we ordered?! We then asked for some ketchup and mayo, which took a further 20 minutes to arrive. By that point we had finished our meal. After much negotiation we were able to get 20% off the bill for our troubles. We decided to give The Rose another go for a friends Birthday. We booked a table for 15 people, but were put in a corner on a table that could hardly fit 10. The service was better this time, however there were still some issues with the food. One of our party ordered a steak that came tough and undercooked. When we then tried to explain our issues to the waitress she argued with us, explaining that’s how it was meant to be cooked. All in all I would recommend this place as a watering hole, but try and avoid the food at all costs!

A classic pub experience! We were visiting London for just a few days and just really enjoyed the Sunday evening roast. We also got roped into a quiz night by the pleasant barman. The pork roast was tender and juicy, and the fish and chips were delicious too. The staff was friendly and this was a nice escape from the more uptight offerings of Central London.

We were 3 Americans and 1 Brit looking for a place to meet up for dinner on Sunday evening. My husband found the Rose on Unilocal and since a bunch of other places were booked up we went for it. It was a little out of the way(we ended up taking a bus instead of the Tube or a taxi), but once we got there it was a glowy, cozy little pocket of loveliness in an otherwise somewhat residential area. We each got a different dish and most of it was delicious. Beef roast and lamb roast with all the fixings(they even gave us an extra Yorkshire pudding when we asked for it) were perfection, as was the crisp fish and chips. I’d say its more of a modern take on traditional pub fare, so it wasn’t overly heavy(the fish & chips came with a refreshing salad and peas, for instance). Only the roast chicken was a tad on the dry side. Minus half a star for that and half a star for the location. They also happened to be doing a pub quiz that night which we participated in, and had a lot of fun.

The Rose hosted our Wedding Reception in October 2012 and we were thoroughly impressed with the service and attentive staff, all our guests enjoyed the food and the excellent drinks menu on offer. The management were able to meet all our wedding needs and cater for some of guests glutton free dietary requests. The staff effortlessly transformed the room from a formal dining area to our own private dance area and played all our wedding music as requested. All our guests felt as if the venue where there own home and all party attendees had taxi’s laid on when needed. We would throughly recommend The Rose for a great choice of food and drinks and a very special level of service that can accommodate anyones needs for parties of 6 to 100+

I’m not a big pub goer but i make an exception for the Rose. It doesn’t look like much from the outside but inside is a whole different matter. There are 3 things that keep me coming back here: Firstly, It has a nice, unpretentious feel to it and the staff are always friendly and polite. Secondly, the beer garden out the back is lovely in the sunshine. It’s set off the road in a walled terrace and is a little oasis from the hussle of the king’s road. Thirdly, they serve the best sunday roast pork i’ve had in years — the crackling is light, crispy and the pork itself tender and juicy — perfect!

This pub is simpllicity personified — nice food, a good wine list and really friendly staff. If only the rest of life could be this simple! My only quibble with the Rose pub is that it is a bit on the big side and lacks a little atmosphere. I was there on for lunch on a monday so it could hae been an off day.

Nice little pub this, probably one of the best pubs in fulham now that it’s been done up. They serve great pub lunch and do an fantastic sunday roast. It’s tucked away off the new king’s road(5 mins from fulham broadway) but it’s worth the walk to find somewhere so cosy and unique.

We ended up at this pub on new years day and i was really impressed. It’s a lovely little pub with a great atmosphere and really nice to wash away the hangover with a few pints and a great big steak. There were quite a few NYE casualties there and teh bar staff looked as though they’d also had a big one! That said they were all pretty jolly and kept the booze flowing. I’ll definitely be back here to try out their sunday roast.

Great little watering hole in Fulham. The Rose is a nice little pub just off the King’s Road. I stopped in there for a pint and was really surprised how nice this Fulham pub is. It’s quite tranquil inside and the bar staff are a nice bunch. The food looks great. I didn’t eat so can’t vouch for it personally but it looked delicious. Nice to have another pub to call in on in teh area. Check it out.

A friend recommend i try the Rose as a good venue for my birthday. I reserved a table for 12 of us which i thought might be a bit of a problem but it wasn’t. The pub is deceptively large and they were able to give us a lovely long table round one side of teh very cool circular bar which was perfect. The pub was quite busy on Sunday but they treated us really well and the food was great — really traditional Sunday lunch with big portions and brilliantly cooked. I spoke to Emily who runs the pub and she explained that they poached a couple of chefs from other London pubs and how good they were. I can only agree having wolfed down my lunch in double quick time and followed it up with a sumptuous chocolate brownie cake, cream and chocloate course. Delicious if a bit on the rich side! The staff were really friendly and made us feel very welcome — more so than the family next to us but i can’t blame them as we were pretty rowdy. I relly recommend this pub and will be making a return trip shortly.

I went to check out the Rose pub last Sunday. I spotted that it had changed from the Legless Tup so thought i’d give it a try having given up on it’s previous incarnation. I dropped in for a swift half and ended up staying 7 hours! Having thought i’d have a quick pint and move on to the Imperial and ended up have lunch and dinner here. Mainly because the the bar maid has a devilish smile and kept ‘forcing’ me to have another drink — i’m a man of strong morals you can tell! I was tempted into trying the Roast beef and so glad i did. Out of the world. The chef is a genious; i haven’t enjoyed a roast like that for years. The pub itself looks totally transformed too. The TVs have gone and it looks smarter, more homely and much much more enjoyable to spend time in. We had a couple of snacky things for dinner which were great too but the roast was so good it’s barely worth mentioning the rest.

I saw the Rose in Fulham got some good reviews on Qype so i decided to check it out for myself. I’ve lived in Fulham for years and once drank in this pub when it was the Tup. As the guy above says, it was awful. The change now is miraculous, really! I went last night with my brother and his wife and we all had the most fantastic food. I had the linguine with Tiger Prawns(the others had Pork Belly and a burger) and it was the best food in a pub that i’ve had for ages. I wouldn’t describe it as pub-food because it’s a but more ‘dressy’ than that. But the atmosphere is very pub like and so are the prices — £10-£12 a main. Perfect. They have a good wine list and lots of beers as you’d expect. The coffee was a but watery but frackly after the meal we’d had i couldn’t care less. Top notch fulham pub — 5 stars from me.

I saw this new fulham pub on qype offering 10% off food orders so thought i’d check it out. I used to go to it when is was the Legless Ladder and frankly it was terrible! But it’s had(another) change of owner and these guys really know what they’re doing. They’ve stripped out the TVs and given the place a much needed makeover. It’s got a really nice vibe inside — homely but classy. I ate here last weekend with my girlfriend and the food was fantastic. I got chatting to the owner and she said that they poached a couple of chefs from well known pubs and they’re determined to make this place the best pub in fulham — the best gastro pub anyway. I noticed that it has a lovely beer garden too. A bit chilly in winter but bring on long summer days and drinking in the sun — it’s a real sun trap. 4 ½ stars from me — great to see this pub bought back to life.

Horray my local is back to life!!! Ahhhh, i have been waiting for this pub to get back on it’s feet after a number of poor reincarnations. The new propretiors have really turned it around and it’s a great pub — i’d put it in the top 3 pubs in fulham now(seriously) Great wine selection, great food(the best roast beef around) and a lovely, cosy atmosphere. It’s a little on the quiet side still as people are yet to discover it but that’s what i like — finding new places before they get too busy. That said i can’t wait to this place bustling and rocking on a Friday night. Come on The Rose Pub!
