The Watershed

So, I am definitely not from the area and wanted to find a club to go to not too far from where I was staying but was still good. I decided to give this place a try because it was cheap entry (I actually got in free) and only a 10 pound über ride home. When I got there it was very empty. It started around 10 people. I talked to a few people and they all said it livens up after midnight, so I gave it a chance. They were right, either I was incredibly drunk or the club got more fun! People started dancing and drinking and it was a blast. If you’re thinking of going out and don’t want to spend too much, try this place. Just make sure to come after midnight when all of the pubs and such close!

It’s an old skool nightclub and it’s not trying to be anything else than a place to dance, drink and have fun.
I’ve had lots of great nights at the shed and would recommend it to anyone looking for a good fun night.
Listen it’s not trying to hard and that’s why I love it.
Well worth a drunken Friday night visit.

havent been here for years but if your local to wimbledon you would have ended up here once the pubs shut so you can carry on drinking and dance. There are 2 rooms cheesy pop and dance. People are friendly drinks are reasonably priced. They also have comedy nights here. It caters for everyone
Recommended for a night out if you want to be local, I first went back in the early 90’s and its still going strong

Definalty the busiest bar in Wimbeldon. Tends to attract the more friendly type of people. Drinks are also not too expensive. Great local place to go out.

Watershed is your typical grimy, grubby, dirty, loud student night and I love it! For the local students it’s got a great atmosphere with sofas all the way around the intimate dance floor and there’s often some good guest DJs making impromptu appearances. There’s another room set up for live bands, so far I’ve not been overly impressed with the bands but they offer something new and original every once in a while. Drinks are cheap early on in the night so make the most of it while it lasts. If you’re a student in Wimbledon I would definitely recommend it-let’s face it, Wimbledon doesn’t really offer anywhere else for students to go?! However-​be prepared, you do get some wierdos in here!

This club is opposite the polka theatre. It seems quite small but the music is great and there really is a great atmosphere. The drinks are reasonably priced and so I think its a good place to go with friends. Easy to get to, just go to Wimbledon Station and walk down or take the 93 bus down. Cloakroom costs £1.50.

This is a great club. It plays very cheesy music in one room and a bit move dancey in the other. The best thing about the place is the atmosphere; it’s a really friendly place; perhaps because it is a little away from the high street. The drinks are priced reasonably. Great place to go with a few friends for a laugh and a dance.

If not for the bubbly stream of people chatting and laughing while taking a smoke break outside outside The Watershed, you might just miss it. Located in between several restaurants down towards the bottom of Wimbledon’s Broadway, The Watershed has been around for a time and is known for its late night good times, drinks and music for the late night reveller.
The bar staff are helpful, and the bars are well-​lit to ensure one can gleefully sip at their preferred tipple and quite easily avoid unnecessary spillage. The Watershed is usually a late starter, especially on a Friday when they feature various indie bands from all over the world. Saturdays are super-​packed with hungry-​to-​party party animals immersing themselves in the best of 80s and 90s classics.
