I cannot recommend this place higher over other hairdressers in Wimbledon(namely Rush…). There were a few hiccups along the way(e.g. the stylist I had booked wasn’t in and I hadn’t been contacted but the receptionist immediately gave me 10% off to make up for this). I sometimes find the hair washing part a bit uncomfortable as the sinks are very solid and I’m quite short so the angle isn’t right, but this time it was fine. The haircut took about twice as long as the last few I’ve had from other salons, but I loved that as it showed they were rushing it. I asked for a cup of tea when I was in there and the lady brought it with a little box of Baileys chocolates which was a very nice touch. The salon was clean and comfortable, and I will definitely be rebooking for my next haricut.

This review is specifically for Mustafa, one of the chief hairstylists at the Centre Court Wimbledon branch. I was referred to Toni & Guy after getting a bad haircut, and got Mustafa by the luck of the draw. After years of having shoulder-length wavy hair, I had decided to try an angular bob with a straight fringe. I wasn’t sure if my hair would handle this cut, as it is very thin at my forehead and has always had a mind of its own. Mustafa quietly looked at my hair: the texture, the direction it grows naturally, the shape of my face, and assured me that it would work. When he was done, I was completely transformed. My hair looks thicker and healthier than ever before, and people say I look younger. I am now convinced that there are no «bad hair days», only bad hair CUTS. He showed me exactly which products to use and how to dry it, so I can style it myself in 20 minutes, and it looks as good as when he does it. Furthermore, I have NO bed-head. I can comb and go, because the hair is cut the way my hair falls naturally!(On holiday in Cornwall, I even put it wet under a sun-hat all day, and that night only had to put some texturizing putty in the ends for an edgy roughed-up look for dinner out with my husband. Miraculous!) Mustafa is not cheap at £54/cut, but maintenance fringe trims are FREE so I don’t have to have it cut as often. Frankly, he is worth every penny and more. I doubt that anyone in London could do a better job with a precise, angular cut. I am also certain that he would do ANY cut beautifully as he is a true craftsman who assesses the customer’s whole head, taking many factors into consideration. I cannot recommend him highly enough.
