I’ve been searching for a healthy smoothie option over the last week. Found this place to have some of the healthiest smoothie options in town. The Peanut Butter Protein Smoothie was delicious!

I had a salad here last week which was decent despite the price which all things considered for a grab and go lunch, is above average. My second experience will likely be my last. Again considering the above average lunch price, it is a bit disgraceful the amount of content they put in the salads. 3 vegetables and 1 premium item. Thanks for the 2 pieces of artickoke as the premium item. Thanks again for 5 sliced plum tomatoes, the table spoon of brocolli and 3 cubes of cucumeber. It is embarrassing and clearly shows lack of consistency. It is pathetic. Bottom line, save your time and money, go somewhere else.

Delicious, healthy food at reasonable prices. Tossed have expanded their selection of food since I last visited a branch a couple of years ago. You can get toasties, salads, hot pots and smoothies, they also now do breakfast too. I ordered a prawn Thai curry, which was tasty and filling. The novelty of this store asides from its tongue in cheek name and their staff dressed in pink is that your order will be given a celebrities name which is definitely quite amusing as they shout out random famous people every time an order is ready. The store is bright and has a large selection of food, you can make your salad to your liking and you can also pre-order online. Their is a small seating area but the store wasn’t overly crowded for a lunch time. I’d you looking for something a bit healthier but still tasty for lunch this is a good place to come.

Sorry Tossed, but the salad I had for my lunch today was a real let down. Massive lettuce leaves too big, about 2 tiny morsels of bacon in sight and a grim caesar dressing. I generally think the portions are stingy, at nearly 6 quid for a salad. My two stars rather than 1 because I do like the way you give people a waiting«name» rather than number. For example, today I was«Freddie Mercury.» The guy next to me(a real alpha male was Leona Lewis, mwa ha ha). You also have a kitchen door which says«tossers only.» Both these factors please me. However– novelty knick-knacks don’t compensate for under average food. Please get it fixed(you’re my local, I do actually want to like you!) Thank you please.

I ventured here during my lunch break a few days ago after my colleague raved about a mammoth salad he got from here. After a slight trek and a shock at the size of queue on arrival I decided it was less stressful to buy an ‘off the shelf’ salad rather than the ones advertised on the board! It all looked rather complicated for my liking and lunch! I was served by quickly and politely after a rude queue jumper bunked in I might add but on arrival back at the office I noticed a lack of chicken goujons in my chicken goujon salad & some tired lettuce leaves. Didn’t seem worth the effort. Disappointing.

A great place for a light lunch: they have a great list of ready salads and you have the option to create your own. They also serve hot pots(chillies, Asian food, etc) and sushi. Everything is super fresh and the salads are made-to-order. For the busy business man they also have pre-packed dishes but made-to-order only takes a few minutes.

I’m not impressed… for the second time. While I really like the concept of this store, I feel that the execution lacks quite a bit of finesse: 1) It is confusing as to where, when and what to order — especially the where: at first I queued up at the wrong side(where they assemble and you pick up your oder), but nobody pointed out to me that I was in the wrong queue… 2) Lacking this foresight, my overall impression of the staff was that they didn’t really know what to do. They were nice, but more in the way of a dog… 3) I hate the fact that they are weighing the amount of chicken in front of me. I totally understand that it needs to be done, in order to satisfy equality of treatment, but this looks just cheap.(I equally hate when bartenders measure the amount of hard liquor that goes into a cocktail… don’t you have a feeling how much is enough?) 4) I find it a little bit too pricey for a simple salad…

The word ‘special’, has new meaning within the four walls of Tossed. I am so grumpy with them because I love the concept, one that is simple and shouldn’t be too much of a challenge to execute, but apparently not. The comedy of error began when we ordered — three Sesame Chicken salads, no additional requests, just as they were posted on the board. 1 came without noodles, the second without chicken. That was sent back and then arrived without noodles! The last was only correct because I watched over the processed and directed the ‘Tosser’ as required. Please understand that I have been here about 4 or 5 times, and this is not some harsh 1 trip thank you ma’am! Each time there is some kind of idiocy that has to be contended with. They have even changed the ordering process so now you pay at the til and then go over to the salad bar to watch your salad being created(incorrectly.) The thing that really grinds my gears about this though, is that I fell in love with Mixt Greens in San Francisco and was so excited when I discovered the potential of something similar. Tossed you are to me like a lot of people(by people I mean men) one meets in the stream of life: Looks good. Can smell very attractive too. Sometime a real feast for the senses, but when it comes down to it, the initial sweetness is massively out weighted by the fact that you are a member of the Tossers Club*! *Tossers Club is the name of their loyal scheme.

Salads were good fresh ingredients and lots of variety. Quite expensive though! I found the staff quite friendly, the food good, but definitely pricey for what you get.

Such a brilliant and simple concept — you choose which salad you’d like from the board(or go crazy and invent your own) and move down the counter with your server chucking everything into a bowl(large or small) then someone else taking over at the end to toss it with your chosen dressing and TA-DAAA! You have a healthy salad. Great! I’m sold! But then I arrive, I tell my server I want the Sesame Chicken salad. This takes a few attempts as she doesn’t understand me. She then asks me which size I want. This takes a few attempts as I don’t understand her. She then slowly(very slowly) and carefully puts my salad together using the list of written-down ingredients. Fool proof! So then, once my salad has been handed over, why is there no chicken? Surely it’s a key ingredient in a Sesame Chicken salad? And why is there red onion when the ingredients clearly state spring onion? Cue the manageress who apologises and sends one of her best men to put my salad together from scratch. So I wait. Finally he hands it over. Hold on a second… THERE’S STILLNOCHICKENINIT! Well this prompts a very loud and comical«AREYOUSERIOUS!?» from JB, a *sigh* and a“‘Whaaat!?” from Kevin and a very British tut and shake of the head from me. Finally my salad arrives and the manageress delivers it personally… to JB(I’m assuming the outburst made her the most frightening of the three of us) along with 2 tokens for a free breakfast. Great! When we get back to the office we realise they’re not tokens for free breakfast but rather a ‘buy something and get something free deal’ when you join the aptly named«Tossers Club». Still — the salad itself was tasty!

Their salads are freshly tossed to order and come atop your choice of cos lettuce or mixed leaves. Sadly both greenery choices were a little limp on my latest visit. Against my own better judgement, I ordered the falafel mexicana salad(falafel, cheddar, sweet corn, mixed beans, coriander, tortilla chips). Given the lack of made to order salad options in London, I’d rate this one as pretty decent. I longed for the brightness I’m accustomed to in salads(see: Ptooch on Leather Lane) but all in it wasn’t awful. And I appreciated that the salads at Tossed are available in two sizes(the smaller was perfect for me.) Those expecting the brilliance of California produce — such as what one might find at Mixt Greens or the like — would do well to give up on Tossed now. But if you’re hankering for a salad that you can get assembled on demand, it’s a fine place to check out.

Thank goodness for this Tossed location on Baker St. I had just flown into town on a red eye, checked into my hotel and was in need of a decent meal. I did not want to eat at a pub or Indian take-away. I wanted a healthy sandwich, like I normally eat for lunch. And Tossed delivered. I think most people come for the salads, hence the name, but I got my concoction on a wrap. It is pretty simple: pick your greens, your meat(if you want it), other veggies, cheese, dressing, and that’s it. All very quick, too. The staff at this location were friendly as well. So, there I was, bleary eyed and tired, but basking in some late May sunshine, enjoying a delicious sandwich, happy as can be. Fantastic.

Good salads with lots of variety, flavours and friendly service. It is like Subway Sandwiches but for salads. I have only gone there for weekday lunches to eat there or take away and love it when I do so, a real treat. It used to be great value and I used enjoy going there, however they have raised their prices so it is no longer the great value it was so I cannot really afford to go there that often any more.
