Pretty decent place for a grab and go lunch. Had the salad which was nice and fresh ingredients compared to some other shops in the area, staff was friendly. Still doesn’t have all the items you’d find in a salad bar in NY but does a good job. The soups looked good too.

What I like the most about this place is it’s operating efficiency. It sounds like the most drab thing you could say about any eatery. But the kind of place this is, a quick lunch grab-and-go, i it’s a good thing. A very good thing. I love how well organised and fast-moving everything is. And the food’s not bad either. I usually get the salads: super cob, nachos grande, ceasar, etc. They’re freshly made in front of you, are customisable, and delicious. And they’re filling too. Not the the kinds that leave you wanting something more at 4pm. Lovely place.

I love vital ingredient! Lots of healthy delicious options to choose from. Lots of seating available. Easy to walk in and quickly get served. You can choose from salad options on the wall or make your own creation. Good deal for he price. I especially love the mango chili and lime dressing. You can sometimes find a 5£ deal on amazon local for a salad drink and dessert pot!

As much as I didn’t want to like this place, as its really expensive for what it is and the woman was annoying about all the things that had run out but my goodness was the salad I had good. I had the spinach leaf as a base and then picked olives, jalapeño’s, falafel, broccoli and prawns with range dressing. It was the best salad I’ve had in ages and the strawberry and banana smoothie was all boss.

This is an OK place, clean, a decent selection of salads and a hot food counter. Quality is decent. Nothing here will blow you away, it is the Ronseal of salad bars — «does what it says on the tin». However, guys, please do something to help sort out the queuing system, it is diabolical and impossible to know who is next and where to queue for the hot food. Just the stress of thinking I may be jumping the queue or that someone else is jumping the queue will make me stay away from here… I am British after all, I need a queueing system…

I’ve been back here 3 times in recent weeks(I’m on a diet, salad = good). I actually found it to be much better than other salad chains(apart from chop’d maybe). The ingredients were reasonable, it’s cheap-ish, and the portions are big. Staff are friendly and quick moving too. There hasn’t been a queue any time that I’ve been in. I’d like a better selection of decent low fat salad dressings though. Also, would be good if you could mix up the base and have half salad/half pasta or similar.

Vital Ingredient is yet another mass-market chain lunch spot on Baker Street. While they offer a collection of pre-packaged wraps, Vital Ingredient is primarily a takeaway salad place. You select a type of lettuce/mixed greens and then a friendly Vital staff member asks you what ingredients you want to have. It’s remarkably a similar concept to Tossed which is a few doors down the street. It’s unclear why Baker Street needs another Tossed, but then again you often find an EAT and Pret next door to each other. The«fresh» ingredients were not so inspiring. Why can’t they use freshly made roast chicken or grilled steak or seared ahi tuna instead of refrigerated chicken that has been in a plastic tub for a while a la Subway? Although you get«5» ingredients for free, some of the items like sun dried tomatoes were extra. My salad was drenched in dressing which took away from the healthiness of the concept. This branch of Vital Ingredient is sparklingly clean and the portions sizes were large, but really this is just another mediocre chain that you can find in many a neighborhood. How exactly is this different from Tossed? Meh, I’ve definitely experienced better, 2 stars.
