A cracking find nice local feel to it. They loose a star for Fosters being £4.10 a little bit to much. I had great service the beer is good and the music is at the right level to have a conversation. Pubs like this need supporting much more than the chain pubs that offer a McDonalds type feel to it. Quite a cosy place good for groups of 4 or less. Quite a good place to chill by yourself and write Unilocal reviews as well.

I was looking for a place to watch an important match; a new client had asked me for a suggestion, so we could watch it together. I went ahead of time to the Tudor Rose and confirmed from the staff that they’d be showing the match in question, and since it was only going to be at 5:00 p.m. on a weeknight, we didn’t feel there’d be any conflict with others perhaps wanting to watch something different. At the time of the match, I arrived with the other two people. We ordered beers, asked if he would turn on the sound so we could hear the commentary, and he refused. He basically said for just a few people he would not turn it up.(You couldn’t hear it.) This was a disaster now, as we had committed to this place and now if we left to find another venue, we’d miss part of it. He finally agreed to turn it up a very little bit, and said we should move close to the television, which meant sitting right under the screen and looking straight up. At half time he immediately changed the channel, so no analysis or replays. He then delayed turning it back to the original channel for the second half as late as possible. Very bad attitude, and for no real reason except spite. Beers were average, some mass-produced lagers, and no London-brewed craft beers, just a few overly warm flat ales.

Lovely cosy feel to this pub and I was pleasantly surprised to find it not too rammed on a would need external packet captures from your edge gateway from the times when you have experienced issues in order to determine where the problem lies. Friday night after work. The pub looks lovely too, particularly the windows. The beers were fairly predictable — London Pride, Old Speckled Hen and the obvious choice for me, Adnams Southwold Bitter(pretty tasty). There is a restaurant area upstairs but judging from the special that was on when we dropped by — Spam Fritter Burger — it might not be for us, There was a TV tuned into a radio station, but on a very quiet setting(maybe just turn it off?).

Wish the weather could have been nice enough(i.e. not raining) to enjoy a pint on the picnic tables outside. The Tudor Rose is a great pub. Larger with more seating than the Golden Eagle, although if you can get a seat the Golden Eagle has more comfortable seating. The Tudor Rose has a decent large television, which was perfect because we wanted to watch England play Ukraine in a World Cup qualifier.(The Golden Eagle hasn’t got a telly.) The staff are great. They all seem to get along well, as do the regular patrons. Great ale at decent prices. Love the outside.

Appalling attitude of landlord who completely lacks any form of social skills. I was lost between Baker Street and Oxford Street. I saw this pub with tables outside so I sat down to use my laptop to find out where I was. I thought I might go in for a pint afterwards. However this moron apparently the landlord — came bursting out of the door of the pub and shouted You can’t work there. That’s for customers. Eff off you bl**dy tourist. I left. Not a place for my custom or hard-earned cash. Scummy place, all dark and bad beers judging by other reviews. No wonder only dossers go there.

An oasis of sanity in the luvvy-ridden desert of Marylebone. That probably says it all. Me. The locals. Beer. Sandwich. Fire. Wooden floor. Photos. Faded posters. Decent prices. What’s not to like.

Bartenders Chris and JoJo are amazing. They have a genuine smile on and love to chat. I came on a Thursday night and it was empty. But as long as you have a positive attitude and are open to conversation the bartenders and the atmosphere is great. You have a typical beer selection that always come through for you.

This place nails it when it comes to good, small, fun local joints. The outside looks inviting, and the inside is, in fact, authentic. Nothing posh. Not big. Just a classic, warm, old-school bar with some seating in snug corners or near a warm fire. To be fair, I thought it would be typically boring and I only stopped in to warm up. But once in, the bartender was friendly and the bevs were nicely priced. All the clients were friendly to each other as well. It’s not a grand arty scene and I can’t comment on the food served upstairs. However I’m a bit jealous as it’s just a tad too far for me to walk on a regular basis. Otherwise, it might be my local.

Ah. A bit of an upgrade from your average pub. This place had a little more class, and old Speckled Hen on cask! The interior is unashamedly looking like someone’s remodeled house. We stopped by here for a quick pint and were happy with the environment. There was something lovely about it.

went in here yesterday with new work colleagues and really liked it. The atmosphere was good, the service was sharp and the toilets were clean. Football was on and spurs managed a draw so that is the only downside as if they lost it would have been a prefect night out. Get in here if you like an old school vibe, locals chit chatting and a decent pint!

The Tudor Rose has one key thing going for it: It’s not posh or over the top. No, this is a classic local. An easy going bar with reasonably priced drinks, sports on the TV, tables inside and outside and friendly bartenders. Usually, this would mean it was like every other pub on the block, but due to the fact that it’s Marylebone off of Baker Street, this means that it’s a diamond in the rough… Or, I guess a rough in the diamond. Honestly, I loved just sitting outside at this bar, away from the tourists and the craziness near where I work. If you’re looking for an escape from the area or just a good drink with friends and are here, this is the spot to check out.

The Tudor Rose offered me much needed respite from the madness of Oxford Street — it’s worthy of four stars for that reason alone! The clientele range from shabby locals to business men in suits. Luckily, its far enough away from the main thoroughfare to avoid the shoppers. I popped in for a quick beer before dining in Roganic across the street. They offer a good range of beers and ales, my half was served in a lady glass — nice touch. The bar staff were friendly. There is a restaurant upstairs but I didn’t see a menu so I don’t know what kind of food they serve, I would imagine typical pub grub. All in all, a decent place to escape the rain and the crowds. I sat and read my book for half an hour, nursing a half, and didn’t get looked at like a weirdo!

This was down the street from my friends flat. We found it by just walking by it one day and stopped in. We visited here a few times during our stay. We really liked it. The bartenders were friendly and many of the beers… lagers and ales(sorry) here were good ones I hadn’t tried here in the states which is what I was looking for. By the second visit we started recognizing regulars. It wasn’t too expensive. Sometimes we sat outside and sometimes we sat inside. I could see myself becoming a regular if I lived there.

This(mock?) Tudor pub with a beautiful exterior seems to be old and is cosy. It has a local feel about it, like a small country pub with its locals squatting there most of the time. The landlord(or manager) sits together with his customers and drags himself up unwillingly when a new customer comes. But the place has really a warm, friendly and welcoming air about it. Three handpubs(Old Speckled Hen, Theakston’s Bitter & Fuller LP) for the real-ale drinkers. A pint of the Hen was 3.20 Pounds and was too warm. They advertise home-cooked food in the first-floor restaurant. And there was a sign saying, Thank you for your custom — Haste ye back. Well, why not? Toilets are level — no stairs.

Walked past this place many times(always a bit cautious of the ye olde english pub vibe) however found myself there on Friday after work. Wow, drink prices very reasonable, good atmosphere and excellent music played. Outdoor seating area also has heaters for those braving the weather or if you can’t find a seat inside
