Vendome Mayfair

Ex-​Pangea, nouveau Vendome… rien de bien exceptionnel dans ce club, la musique n’etait pas fantastique mais pas non plus horrible, le staff pas hyper sympa et un des mes amis s’est fait faire les poches et voler son portable et balckberry… vraiment bof.

High end and pricey which is fine by me. I like an exculsive night out sometimes though it’s not always what I go for. If I’m out with the right group then I love all the glamour of the west end. I’d go often without a problem.

Vendome is one great club to hang out, quality is their second name.
It applies to the music, the décor, the drinks, and the people. Smart, sophisticated and yet not stuck up.Recommended.

Small, compact nightclub with a fancy floor.
This place has a light-​up disco dance floor, but the surface area is small. The dance area is a ring around the DJ, which is more annoying than interesting. You have less freedom to dance around, since you have to circle around to get from place to another.
Anyway, this place is small enough that it can be rented out. One of the school societies rented this club out for the night, I think. There were about 120 of us there.
Since the club is underground, it does get a bit stuffy. Also, the coat check is at the opposite end of the club as the entrance. So, that’s inconvenient. They also offer a number of private rooms along the side, but those areas aren’t much quieter.
When I went, I ended up dancing for 3 hours with a bunch of dudes. That was weird.

It’s a great night out, get on a guestlist and arrive before 10pm to avoid disappointment!

What a fab night I had here. I went on a Thursday love the feel of the club very sleek and stylish! Also be careful if you put your drink on the DJ box whilst dancing as you may find its not there when you have finished!- The dj booth is in the centre of the dancefloor and turns round!

A pretty poor evening out. The price of entry (though not unexpected for Mayfair) was fairly extortionate and the inability to sit down unless you’d purchased /​reserved spirits priced at an exorbitant price was just ridiculous!

BE WARNED! Being on the guest list at Vendome does not guarantee you entry. My friend had emailed the club and spoken to ANNIKA ZABLOCKA a number of times and arranged for a group of us to be on the guest list. We arrived at 10.30 on the prearranged Saturday night and were refused entry. It appeared that the whole queue was on the guest list. We looked respectable and were not drunk. Vendom’s policy is obviously to put everyone on the ‘guest list’ and then pick and choose at the door. This policy is absolutely dispicable and I will never try to go back.

Very good location, however a little pricey. It is not a regular haunt of mine, but is very nice for something different! I love a bit of 70s music, it brings back memories!
