The Hotel has a Brasserie, which can be accessed through the Hotel main entrance. I gave it a try and was pleasantly surprised. The menu card has only a finite options, which means the chief is focusing on delivering good meals. I tried the grilled Scottish salmon and it was delicious. The accompanying vegetables were tasty as the roasted potatoes. As desserts I tried the flourless chocolate cake. It was a delight. It melted in the mouth and was light to digest. All in all a excellent meal, which cost me 30£ a carafe of wine(0.25 L) included.

My wife and I just got back from a week at this very fine hotel/B&B. Situated in a lovely quiet neighborhood, Victoria, it is nevertheless close to the Victoria train/tube station and a nice walk from the Embankment and the bridges across the Thames. The best thing, however, is the excellent staff all of whom are unfailingly polite and helpful, willing to extend themselves. We would return in a heartbeat!

This review is a little late but I must still add it. I stayed at the Windermere Hotel in December and it was amazing! The staff wen above and beyond to make us comfortable and Emily Hambi was absolutely the best. This was our first time visiting London and we had no idea where to go or how to he there, No problem Emily Hambi and pretty much the whole staff helped us figure out our itinerary for the whole week. One day we arrived very late and very hungry from our visit to Oxford and most restaurants were closed, well the chef stayed longer than necessary and cooked us a delicious late dinner, he was patient and very helpful. Breakfast was always delicious and our rooms were always spotless and very cozy. Whenever I come back to England the Windermere will ALWAYS be my hotel of choice. Congratulations Hambi Family for having such a lovely establishment with such an amazing welcoming staff. You have a customer for life and I always tell my traveling friends«When in London you MUST stay the Windermere Hotel »

Lovely service, great breakfast, cute Pimlico neighborhood, half-hour walk to Embankment, where I needed to be for work, nice restaurants nearby, cozy room(small, but what does one need, really?) with cool gadgets, like a speaker/charger for your iPhone and a Dyson mini-room-heater. Did I mention the nice people at the front desk? I was very happy here my week in London, would definitely come back again!

This place is a solid 4 stars. The staff was pretty excellent and were extremely nice in providing guidance, answering questions and being generally helpful. The included breakfast was a real treat because London is expensive and if you can manage to get downstairs between 730 and 930AM, you’re good to go. Our room was a bit small but it was workable. It was definitely clean and a great value for our trip. The relative closeness to Victoria Station was also really convenient. Wifi available in the lobby and your room, if you’re close enough. Cheers! Nice job Windermere.

Been staying here for about 5 days now. clean. nice. close to good eats. most def!(go to pimlico fresh, you’ll thank me later) Close to Victoria station.(close-ish) hospitable people. great breakfast. mornings are fun when you try to walk straight only to fall over. our room was seriously slanted. knowledgeable staff… er… perhaps not. but they’re sweet and give you the same touristy stuff to do that any other place would. The people at reception are nice, but have no idea about what direction to send clients in when it comes to sight seeing in this city. What a pity, most of them are born here and have besides all the touristy stuff it seems that activities tend to revolve around pubs. not that i have a problem with that, i just wish they would give me more direction. But then again travel is really personal. Ok, back to the hotel itself. We switched rooms after the first night because the noise of the elephants playing jump rope above us in the morning was too unbearable to sleep through. So we moved to the tip top floor(now we’re the elephants) and we hear nothing. so thats nice. this place is super clean and a good deal. so there ya go.
