This is a really cool bar tucked in at the edge of Borough Market. Not the easiest to find initially(google maps tries to locate it at Natwest) but once you know where it is it’s a fab spot. Happy hour 241 wine everyday 6 – 7 and delicious tapas options to eat alongside. The wine menu is HUGE so you’ll never get bored of sampling what they’ve got to offer. They also do wine tasting options where you can buy 4 mini wines at not a ridiculous price. Fun!

Great date venue, lots of choice and good amount of outside area for the summer/autumn(there are patio heaters so you can survive a slightly cooler night!)

The wine wharf is a good wine bar… nice wine and good bar snacks. The staff were helpful in recommending food that matched the great English white we were drinking. A solid Boroughough option and better than Vinopolis in my opinion!

The Wine Wharf is an excellent spot in Borough Market for a glass(or two) of wine on any given night. The wine selection is varied, the service is excellent and the bar is spacious. I especially like sitting in the comfy brown leather sofas, sipping on a glass of wine and enjoying the cool and casual atmosphere. The food also looks incredible — will definitely come back for dinner and more wine soon!

Cozy and friendly — a real oasis among Borough Market. We went for a halloumi and pesto starter along with a saffron risotto cakes. Both were great, a little on the small side but great all the same. The polenta cakes as a main were bland but came with a nice sauce that made up for this slightly. My partners veal and chorizo burger looked fantastic. We were eating with a Taste Card so the food was BOGOF. To be frank, it would be pretty overpriced otherwise. The real jewel in Wine Wharf’s crown is obviously the wine list. Pretty much every wine producing country in the world is well represented here. What we particularly liked were the wine flights where you could have five small glasses or red, white, or a mix with Rose, for £12. These were great and a really nice feature. Service was great, very friendly and personal, if only they could get the X-Factor into the food this would be one of my favourite London haunts.

Beautiful venue, nice date setting. Prices a bit more than average, but that’s a wine bar for you. They didn’t measure the wine so that give them major points in my book. I hate places that measure! Overall it’s a nice bar. The staff didn’t seem too friendly. I could be dead or alive when making my order. They took no notice nor smiled. But hey, it’s a pisser t work for a living. I get it. We ordered at some point the wine sampler which is 4 small glasses of different types of wine. One of the glasses was like pure vinegar. So we played Russian roulette for wine. Rather than sniffing and gargling the wine and reading all about it, I mixed up the glasses… we sipped, mixed again… sipped. Who gets the vinegar? It’s was quit fun! By the end of the evening, with a buzz on, we ordered some nibbles. The food was okay and reasonably priced. Great location!

Great and quiet little wine bar next to Borough Market, I was in there on a Saturday and there was loads of empty seating. Had a great selection of wines, so nice to have a choice of so many by the glass. There was a problem for me though and that was the cheese platter I ordered. For starters it came with three biscuits, ok fair enough the focus is on the cheese. However unfortuntely considering this place is virtually in borough market with its amzing selection of cheeses, these tasted like they came from Tesco’s value range, they had even put some Red Leicester in there for Gods sake. However first and foremost its a wine bar so I cant mark it down for that.

This is one of those secret treasures that you don’t really want to tell people about in case it gets overrun with them. Nice wines(which come with plenty of information so you can pretend to be a wine ponce), big sofas and really good food. I like!

Very trendy and amazing wine list. They have a bottle to suit any needs, especially if you’re on a tight budget. It has great décor, but the service could be a bit better

Great wine selections, and a nice bar menu. We had a really delicious chorizo-calamari salad and some hummus while we sat at the bar. It was a little expensive, and it is tough to get a seat during the post-workday rush, but we enjoyed this place.

Come here if you are a wine buff… or wanna be wine buff :) The cellar is impressive and the prices are reasonable. there is a relaxed low key vibe about the place. and the occasional comfy lounges here and there. order a ploughmans special and select your bottle and enjoy it over a nice chat with some friends.

After a hard slog pushing thorugh the crowds at Borough Market to get your organic purple sprouting brocolli you have a hard earned thirst and this is just the place to sort it out. With a huge wine list it is just the spot to indulge and try something new. The staff are incredibly knowledgable and will chat to you at length about what you would like to drink and also sample some wines with you to help you decide what to order. It’s like a mini Vinopolis experience but you get to have a whole glass/bottle of wine istead of just a taster. With such an extensive wine list it doesn’t have to blow the budget either. The food isn’t so great here, having ordered their sharing platters before I wasn’t so impressed, but that won’t keep me away, for a glass of wine this is most likely my No 1 choice in London.

A lovely way to escape the crowds of Borough Market and indulge in a glass of something nice — delicious croque madame’s as well!

A lot of people are put off from the outside of this place, but it’s actually a lot more relaxed than the ‘swanky wine bar’ vibe it gives off. It offers respite from the weekend crowds of Borough Market and you can happily settle in and read the paper for hours undisturbed. The staff really know their stuff when it comes to wine(obviously) and chatting to them to find something new to try is half the fun. If you get a bit peckish I whole-heartedly recommend the giant bowls of fries to tide you over or, if you’re after something smaller, the locally bought olives.

Located next to the Borough market in Vinopolis, Wine Wharf is not hard to find. Oenophiles will appreciate this bar that offer more than 300 wines coming from all parts of the world. The atmosphere is very relaxed, so you can have a seat on those leather sofas while sipping on some wine. The bar serves food also and you get to see a free jazz concert on Mondays around 7.30 pm. A very nice place…
