Costa Coffee – St Marys

I have always preferred Starbucks to Costa however when I am at hospital I dont have much of a choice. I wanted something Gluten Free, all Costa Stores I have seen do Gluten free Brownies and Bakewell Tarts and more recently some stores offer a Gluten Free Basil and Chicken Wrap however when I went into this café located in St Marys Hospital (Manchester), the 2 members of staff did not appear to have any knowledge on what Coeliac disease or Gluten was, in my opinion this was disgraceful, they are many places that do not understand about Coeliac disease but you would expect a franchise like Costa to have a good knowledge.
This is only a small store located in a hospital, it is a good location in St Mary’s as it is very close to the entrance however I cant think of anything positive to say after a really bad experience looking for Gluten Free, I would not of expected such a small store to have an amazing range up their with the largest Costa Coffee’s however I would of expected the staff to have some knowledge and at least one or two products suitable what I could eat!
