Fantastic Hotel! As you come out the station which is a wonderful building in itself, you walk out, turn left and walk for about 5 minutes to the Life building. Walking through, you will see a new building a head of you with a court yard surrounded by new apartments and office. Walking to the lobby this hotel is light and airy with welcoming front of house staff. We were soon checked in and I took the lift to my room. I was happy with my little lot, happy with my veiw. The room was clean, warm and the en suite and welcomed site after a 3.5 hour train journey. Great power shower! The bath was shallow — I nearly flooded the bathroom on night two lolol. Great breakfast buffet style, everything cooked well and hot, great cold choice with fresh fruit, yougharts, crossaints etc. Comfortable stay!

This is the 2nd time I have stayed here for business. In that time I have to say that on the surface very little has changed. The bathrooms still look like they need a freshen up, the bed is ok on a comfort level and the room functions well as somewhere you occasionally have to do some work out of. This time round I have found myself in a disabled room. Not being disabled I do hope nobody with a disability checks in as I have their room!!! The bonus of the room is that it is more spacious than the standard room I have last time, which is fine if you have a lot if stuff and will be spending some time in your room. The food is good quality hotel food nothing special but it does hit the spot when you are hungry!!! Breakfast check the timings as it may be worth having breakfast a little earlier or later to avoid the rush. They don’t run out of food you just have to wait if you time it wrong. The hotels location to the train centre and city centre is first class, it is literally a 5 min walk from the main station. The town centre is also a comfortable stroll away. There are plenty if eateries and bars close by. From previous experience at the weekends it can get busy with hen & stag do’s so you’ve been warned… Unless you want somewhere to operate your hen or stag do from then this is as food as a location as any. My last point is wifi, it was poor last year they have improved it but if you want a connection to stream anything on you will need the premium connect which costs £7.95 for 24 hours! All in all a decent hotel which would have got 4 stars but you have to pay for good wifi so cannot give that 4th star. Update, if you are planning on staying at this hotel Friday/Saturday might be warned it is very popular with stag & hen parties. This means that a lot of them are very merry when they arrive and that they are even more merry when the return to the hotel I. The early hours if the morning!!!’ So of you are staying in Newcastle over the weekend be warned that this hotel gets busty and noisy!!!

Jury Inn Newcastle is ideally located in the heart of Newcastle’s City Centre. Just a short stroll from the main shopping and commercial centres, this Newcastle hotel is perfectly placed whether you are visiting the city for business or pleasure. I went there for a hen party and thought it was very reasonbly priced for such good service. There were loads of facilities in this hotel, and the staff were friendly and welcoming. I would definately reccomend this to someone who will be staying in Newcastle.
