Want to get some good beer and pizza while sitting on a deck above a beautiful beach at sunset in Cornwall? Then it doesn’t get much better than Fistral Beach Bar. This bar has good Cornish Beer and large«personal» pizzas, and a friendly staff. A nice relaxing corral of couches in front of the bar was enjoyed while we used their free WiFi to get caught up on email. We got there on a Sunday evening so it only had a few other patrons who were having a pint on the deck as they enjoyed a beautiful sunset over the ocean. The theme is all about surfing and surfing events around the world. Great beach bar.

Real nice beach but one of the few or only one I have seen pebbles on. Nice surfing waves for the dudes.

UK surfing mecca. Nice sized beach, newish building with a few fashion shops and a café. If you go to Newquay then you should check it out.

Newly-ish opened on the bottom deck of shops at Fistral Beach, this bar looks like it’s been lifted off the shores in Thailand or Bali, and plonked in Newquay. In a really good way! This part of town has been crying out for some nightlife, and it’s just far enough off the main drag to ensure that most of the less enjoyable elements of Newquay nightlife miss it. Again — this is a really good thing. Packed with local talent of all descriptions, this is a lively, happy and maybe ever so slightly poncy bar, with good music and events, and a really happy crowd. Plus, there’s outside seating so you get to enjoy the sounds of the surf in the evening with a beverage in your hand. You may feel life doesn’t get much better, especially if the notorious Cornish weather holds out. One of the town’s best kept secrets. Oops.

Fistral beach is renowned for its great surf, however due to this it can get very busy in the summer months. The beach itself is quite large but in the summer it still gets very crowded especially when there is a good surf. There are lifeguards in the Summer months on duty at Fistral. The beach has nice golden sands, however in my opinion, this beach is far too busy to visit during the summer. Another problem is parking during the Summer as the nearest car park does get quite busy during the Summer. If you enjoy surfing it might be worth going but I would not recommend this beach for families as it gets so busy.
