Crantock Beach

Like everyone else I agree, this beach is about as good as it gets in Newquay. It’s not far from the caravan sites, there is a fair sized car park if you have to drive & a couple of beach café’s that are reasonably priced for food. You can also hire wet suits /​surf boards & other beach stuff too.

Great Beach! would agree with all the positive reviews. Sand is good and a lovely coast line. RNLI Lifeguards do a great job of protecting swimmers and surfers. Would recommend this beach to anyone who visits Cornwall or stays at Crantock.

Awesome beach great for surfing and no where near as crowded a fistral its also a great place to take the family as the lifegaurds patrol here to

Crantock beach is one of my favourites in Cornwall. It has nice golden sands and is quite large. Down one side of the beach there is a river, although this can be dangerous due to a strong current. The car parking is National Trust owned and can get quite busy as the car Park is right next to the beach, therefore I advise getting there early. There are lifeguards on the beach in the Summer and toliets nearby. The surf isn’t as good as at Fistral, but this is a good beach for families. In the Summer there is often a small passenger boat to get across the river to West Pentire.
