The first tip is don’t order directly on their website. Contact them and get an assurance that the goods are in stock. This was our failing. Ordered the goods on 19/10/2010, and had an e-mail back that two of the items were out of stock, and they were due to arrive in 4 – 5 weeks, and delivery would add a further 7 – 10 days. So by calculation that would make it around about 3÷12÷2010, worse case. Then we got told that the item was travelling from Vietnam, and was on a container ship… then the porr weather with the trains… The contain had arrived, and it was a priority, and on the 13/12/2010 we would have a notification from the delivery company when they would deliver. 13⁄12 arrived, and no e-mail… chased, got a reply, that the goods would be collected from them on 15/12, and they(qualityfurniture4u(QF4U)) would send me an e-mail with the delivery company’s contact details… 15⁄12 — No such e-mail, so contacted them by phone. Got the delivery company’s contact telephone number. Contacted the delivery company and they said that as they hadn’t been given the goods before the 13/12, they could guarantee delivery before Christmas. Yet, this was the crucial reason for ordering the goods back in October… Plus the delivery company had explained this to their client. I contacted QF4U, and explained that now they should contact their delivery company, as they are the customer, and get an assurance that the goods arrive before Christmas. They rang back an hour later to say that the delivery company will ring me in the next couple of days to arrange delivery before Christmas. I hope for their sakes they do. However, I don’t what else I can do. I’ll update this again by Friday 17⁄12. Update: 22÷12÷10 — I have had a call from the delivery company assuring me that they will be delivering everything on the 23÷12÷10. 23÷12÷10 — Goods arrived, undamaged. The guys from the delivery company were very good. I felt sorry for them trying to carry such heavy packages up snow covered ice on the steps to the house. They fell twice. My nightmare will begin again if any of the goods appear damaged. NOTE: When I placed the order took the full amount. I said that this was unreasonable given the lead time, and they did refund 80%. They took it back when the goods were ready to leave their warehouse. No I don’t think I will use them again. Their biggest problem is keeping the customer informed, and honestly. I felt at times they were spinning yarns. I shouldn’t have to chase, and make suggestions on getting updates.
