I am definitely an oatmeal lover and this place is amazing. Very delicious and surprising combinations. I would definitely come back to this place!

What a unique and interesting idea! I really liked it here and would definitely go back! They have some great options to choose from, and the prices are good as well. It’s not something that would be difficult to make at home, but it’s still definitely worth checking this place out even if just to get some ideas for what to put in your oatmeal.

Incredibly delicious; perfect lunch for a cold Copenhagen day. I had the risotto, which was perfect, and my fiancé had the lentils. Both dishes were delicious as was the seasonal glögg. The place itself is cute too, total hole in the wall but very cozy.

Wonderful little food stall, the entire menu was inventive and inviting, i thoroughly enjoyed the barley-otto with oyster mushrooms. The staff were smiley and kind in spite of the crowd. i will be back there as soon as I can.

I really liked their Congee which is Asian porridge. Main ingredients(besides rice) were chicken, ginger, peanuts, and coriander. It was very satisfying as I was missing Asian food after a week in Copenhagen. We also tried one of their breakfast oatmeals(as a dessert) which was also quite good. That one had apples, caramel, hazelnuts, and sweet milk. I would definitely order it again. Not too sweet but filling which is perfect with a latte from coffee collective. Four stars because the second time I ordered the Congee, it was too salty in my opinion.

Went around 1 pm on a Tuesday to grab some oats and a warm escape from the cold. The restaurant is located in an indoor market, so space and seating is limited. We ordered the oat porridge with apples, vanilla, Icelandic yoghurt, and granola. It was just the warm, stick-to-your-ribs lunch I was looking for. The regular portion is a heavy snack/light meal, but not enough for an empty tummy. It was moderately sweet, but I would have liked a bit more sugar.

I had a bowl of gluten free with PB, Figs and Nuts. YUMMMM the portion was little too much(I would’ve been more than happy with 1⁄3) for me so I couldn’t finish the entire bowl, but yummy nevertheless.

Obsessed with this Danish phenomenon of oatmeal with toppings. I go here almost every other week. Love the abundance of seasonally fresh fruit! Also the oats here are different but definitely more delicious.

Super delicious. I went for one of the savoury dishes. I wish there was a place like this in London. The location is a great market sort of thing

Are you looking for a good breakfast that is popular in Copenhagen? Are you willing to spend more than 40DKK for this breakfast? Well, this place may have your answer. What is «grød»? According to a Danish dictionary, «grød» means porridge. I ordered the«Havregrød», which is porridge mixed with almonds, diced apples, and dulce de leche, which is this milky caramel like topping. After the first few bites, I was amazed. I’ll probably not look at oatmeal the same way again. It was a great blend of sweet flavours with a great crunch from the almonds and some fresh taste from the apples. According to the people who work at the place, they try to make sure the ingredients are locally produced in Denmark or within a short distance away such as Germany. The price was about 40DKK if you want to order take away, but you have to pay 5 extra DKK to eat inside and to have it served in a nice bowl with silverware. The fact that a lot of the ingredients are locally produced might explain why the price maybe a little high. Overall, if you are looking for a great and simple breakfast in Copenhagen, this place is a great choice but the price might be a little high. If you are on a budget, I probably would not recommend coming here every day, unless groceries are also more expensive in the markets in Copenhagen.

Congee is nothing like the real congee you’d get in Asia. Of course I was probably expecting too much but to call this congee is just wrong. Should have opted for more local flavors…

Holy hipster, Batman! For all of you visiting from the States, this place has Pacific Northwest hipsters written all over it. A stall in a food market that sells artisan porridge, am I in an episode of Portlandia? After several days of eating too many pastries, I was in the mood for something a bit lighter. The crisp fall weather called for something warm, and this porridge stand came highly recommended on Unilocal. The prices listed are for a «regular» size, and the«large» is 10 dkk more. The regular is enough for a snack, but if you are looking for a full meal, I would go with the large. There are both sweet and savory options, and we tried the Special Porridge(savory/sweet) and the Daal(savory). The Daal was nontraditional, but absolutely delicious. It was topped with a thick sour cream, which added a nice creamy, sour element. It also had almonds, which seemed odd, but they added some necessary texture. The Special Porridge was good, but something I could easily make at home — I wouldn’t call it «special». The toppings were the best part. The service was a bit cold, but that may have been on account of our ordering in English. It also took a lot longer than you would think to scoop up two cups of porridge. Had I not been en route to Italy, I would have tried the risotto. It looked amazing! I would definitely stop in again on a crisp day in Copenhagen.

I came here for breakfast and had a small porridge. The porridge had sliced apples, almonds, and dulce de leche. I’m not a fan of porridge but this was amazing. Grod is a must. If I come back to Copenhagen, I would happily come back here.

Location/Accessibility: Central, across the street from station Nørreport in a larger food court. Wheelchair accessible from some doors. Not sure about the toilets. Service/Setting: Being inside a food court, the noise level is above average and there’s limited seating. Not for fine dining, but definitely pleasant. Takeaway is just as easy as eating in. Polite service! Selection/Price: I went for the simple, oatmeal porridge. I passed by outside of their typical serving times(mid afternoon), but no worries as it was delicious reheated in the canteen. Their toppings are where they shine, rhubarb compote, toasted almonds and the tart Icelandic yoghurt Skyr. Absolutely delicious. The steep pricing of fancy canteen food felt justified for the duration of my meal, I was full for 40DKK but perhaps a bit too much for me. Overall: Worth a visit, I look forward to visiting their own shop at a later time.

We stopped at their counter/store at Torvehallerne one day while we were touring the market. We decided to get the risotto, made with asparagus risotto with lemon, olive oil and watercress. They had it partially cooked on the stove stop and when ordering began finishing off the risotto with additional broth, cheese and olive oil. It was cooked properly, with a slight al dente texture too it. I loved that as she cooked it, she continued to taste it(with a different spoon each time) to make sure it was done. The lemon oil on top really helped bring a acidic note to the dish and the asparagus was very fresh. My only complaint is on their wine. I ordered a glass of white wine to go with it, but it was unchilled and warm which made it not as enjoyable to drink. My husband had the elderflower beer though which was chilled and quite good — not overly fruity.

Definitely a –must-go-to spot! I know this is really simple to make, but it’s perfect for the people who need breakfast on-the-go. I love how my porridge was made fresh and was not left in the container for a while. I had the gluten free oats with quinoa. It came with my choice of 3 toppings: mixed nuts, fresh strawberries(they were so sweet and red!) and rhubarb compote. This was a delicious combination. The prices were fair for a large bowl of porridge. The last thing I remember, I don’t remember seeing a porridge shop in NYC. It would be quite a hit! Coffee was not too expensive either. Definitely will be back to try other combo’s.

We absolutely enjoyed our porridge(there were so many kinds to choose from!!). I had the rice porridge, which I had no idea could be so hearty. The sweetened tarragon purée with the hazelnuts and apple slices put a delightful aniseed twist on the whole dish. Though I was amazed at how many Unilocal-loving tourists we had sitting besides us! Every single customer was from America! Though, as my wife said, who else but tourists goes out for porridge at 11am on a work day? True dat! THISPLACEIS A BITTRICKYTOFIND. It’s inside the farmers-market-esque mall with lots of other tiny artisan shops, It’s in the southern building, on the southern side(I hope I remember this right), and it’s one of the middle shops.
