We had a weekend brunch on a national holidays morning. The brunch opened at 9 am, which was the first one on this market. Service was friendly and welcoming. Brunch table included all the necessary stuff with eggs and bacon etc. Also pretty good vegetarian /salad buffet. I liked the taste, although on my meat and eggs and sandwiches –plate everything was pretty much standard. If you like heavy hotel-like breakfast, I have to recommend. For salad /vegetarian option I haven’t got opinion.

Shared a friend’s birthday lunch here. Perfect for a large group — easily accommodated all 10 of us. English language menus available and easy to pay separately. Portions were very generous and fresh. I had the avocado and shrimp salad, delicious, crisp and well presented. Hummus and falafel plates were enjoyed by friends and a good selection of beverages available including a nice rosé. Service was friendly and accommodating. Everyone left happy and satisfied.

I wish I could give 3.5 stars, but alas, it’ll have to be 3. I went for brunch and it was just alright. There were lots of options to choose from at the buffet and some were pretty tasty, but others were underwhelming. Coffee was mediocre. Atmosphere was a bit bland. Luckily the price point was not too, too high. I probably wouldn’t go back unless nothing else was open.

Weekend brunch for 139kr is a fair price. You get juice for your plate and loads of fresh food. Things for vegetarians and vegans. Everything looked fresh and chef was checking the food once in a while. Very good experience and nice atmosphere, nice staff. Minus for a really bad quality coffee included in brunch.

Don’t go there! Sooooooo disappointed — cold dried up pancakes, very little to choose from, boring food! Noisy and run of the mill service. There are so many good places to eat brunch in Copenhagen but this is not one of them! The one star is only because I can’t go on without a rating!!!

I give this very solid café a very solid four stars. I’ve been here twice now and both times I saw a lot of locals enjoying the food. This place is very«hyggelig» which is a Danish term for«cozy.» The waiters are good at what they do, but sometimes are a little awkward, although they generally speak perfect English(so you don’t have to fiddle around with Danish). The portions are actually quite generous! So although you should expect to pay around 120 kr — 160 kr for a meal, you can definitely expect to leave full and pretty satisfied. I got the chicken sandwich, and it was good. I can’t say that it was the best sandwich I’ve ever had, but it was filling, full of flavor, and enjoyable. I will say, they put a little too much sauce on it, and I got kind of sick of the sauce after a while, but it was a good dish. My friends got the burgers and they were quite large, and the fries were perfect. Perfect place to come to relax, enjoy a date, or even spend time with your family. Would recommend to anyone!

Hard not to go 5 stars, but I only had brunch. Bad: When we first walked by it didn’t really look open and my wife got spooked and walked away. We went back, I stuck my head in and saw people. In we went. The service seemed a little awkward at first but we were clearly tourist and they clearly are local. When I ordered a latte, the waiter kinda argued with me that it ‘wasn’t in the buffet price’. So what! Bring me a latte! We went for breakfast, but the only thing on the breakfast menu was a brunch buffet! Good: bizarre and wide choice of meat, fish, salads, and local favorites on the buffet. Something for everyone for the very picky 5 I was with. Everyone went up twice. Food was hot. Food was fresh. The chef was out constantly checking on it. Everything was very good. The latte may have been the best I had in Copenhagen. And, as we were there on a Wednesday morning at 10, the place started to fill up. All we heard in there was Danish and it was mostly women. I would surmise it is popular with the locals. If lunch or dinner stack up, I might go 5.

I used to come here when it was Café Theodor. The service then was practically non-existant but I loved the food. This new place really took me by surprise. I was there midweek and had a perfect burger and ice cream dessert with beer and coffee. The waiters were extremely attentive and nice. My sister and I had the most wonderful night sitting outside just enjoying the place. It’s very well located and perfect for a nice and cosy time out. Definitely recommended!

I’ve got mixed feelings for this place. I really enjoyed the service which was very welcoming, caring and rather fast. We asked for two burgers and a plate of nachos with chicken, but one of the didn’t come at the table(after around 15 minutes, which is quite fast for restaurant). They sincere apologise and it came 5 minutes later. The dishes were HUGE, but I was not excited by the taste. Especially the nachos and guacamole were completely bland and not even the melted cheese helped. The burgers were perfectly grilled, but lacking some seasoning(for me). Salad was fresh and the fries very good. The dinning area was nice, cosy and clean. I don’t know if I go back soon. Maybe when the weather is better and try something else outside that will hopefully chance my mind about their food.

The Café Phønix offers a terrace on a quiet place which is nice for eating. We’ve both taken a salad. It was ok without being the food of the year but nothing to complain about neither.

Solid four stars place: good food, attentive service, fair prices(for Copenhagen I mean). Nice ambiance, not too crowded and centrally located. Plenty of seats outside, weather permits :) Also for family travellers, it’s one of the rare restaurants with kids menu. Thumbs up!
