Best Western Hôtel le Donjon

My wife deserves the credit for finding this gem of a hotel, located in the city center of this amazing medieval citadel. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The room was very modern and clean. It had all the amenities of a big city hotel. Staying inside the city walls was a magical experience, starting from the minute our complementary shuttle driver picked us up at the car park outside the walls. He then maneuvered through the medieval streets that were built for pedestrians, horses and carriages and now are mobbed by tourists. We managed to get to our room without hitting any tourist or any wall. Anyways, we ended up staying here two nights and we would have stayed longer if we hadn’t had other traveling plans in place.

Erstklassige Lage und sehr guter Service begünstigen einen hervorragendes Entspannungserlebnis.
Ein morgendlicher Rundgang durch die umliegend Festung ist auch am Abend ein sehr inspirierendes Erlebnis.

Very knowledgeable and friendly staff. Our room, in the main building — as the hotel is split over 3 sites, is spotlessly clean. The mattress is firm which is just how we like it.
The WiFi code worked first time, tho you will need to get a sepaate code for each of your devices.
As it is situated in the old town — Le Cite — access is on foot and the car park is some distance away.
In the evening when all the day-​trippers have gone home this place is magical, it’s like living in your own private castle.
Beware the noise from the bin men on a Thursday tho’ as they come past at 4.30am

Je vais aller a SCI du Donjon en Juin 2010! C’est un Hôtel Best Western (Best Western le Donjon Les Remparts) et se bon marche pour la cite. Je vais vous laisser savoir combien il est plus tard.

Bien placé et très propre.
Ce que je retiendrai de cet hôtel est l’emplacement, l’accueil, la propreté des chambres et la literie. Ce que je né retiendrai pas: le service du petit déjeuner peu courtois, et la taille des chambres. En résumé bon rapport qualité prix en promo mais peut être un peu élevé au prix fort par rapport aux prestations.

Bonne adresse mais gare au bruit en saison
Un cadre magnifique et un accueil super sympa sauf malheureusement au petit déjeuner. Un effort est nécessaire au petit déjeuner sur le buffet avis à la direction… pas nécessaire d’augmenter le prix pour avoir de la qualité.

En la misma ciudadela, el hotel reune todo lo que necesitamos para pasar unos dias inolvidables en Carcassonne: un buen servicio, unos precios muy razonables y, también, un restaurante muy adecuado
