Love everything about this place The food was delicious and the service was wonderful. We came here twice we liked it so much. 100% recommend without reservation. Also, they did this cute thing for birthdays where they play music and put a firecracker in a cake. Looked epic.

Really good place. We were on the diner with my wife and that was nice evening. Great snails, pasta with lobster and tiramisu. Nice atmosphere and great interior design…

I absolutely loved my experience at the Cap Horn! The food and service were both amazing and the restaurant itself was beautiful! I would definitely recommend this place!

This place is INCREDIBLE!!! At first we were hesitant to go in because we were not sure about the lack of reviews, but let me tell you, it’s a gem and a fantastic place!!! The food is incredible, the wine is to die for and the atmosphere is nice and cosy with great waiters. You must get the escargot! Definitely the duck and the filet are a must and if you don’t get the soufflé you have made a mistake!!! The soufflé is divine! Absolutely incredible !!

Worst dining experience of our week long trip — but most expensive by a long way. Would not go again — lots of other better options in the town. Lots of cons. — Had a 9.30pm reservation for 2 and ended up not getting main courses until 11pm. — - — All of the staff seemed very panicked and disorganized — restaurant was pretty busy but still multiple open tables so unclear why — When the food finally arrived, the salmon was very poorly cooked and almost inedible(the burger was good but absolutely not worth the 125 Euro check). — Sommelier seemed intent on selling us the most expensive bottle of wine possible, rather than talking about our actual preferences — We did have a reservation but getting seated was a nightmare — everyone showed up at once for the 9.30 seating so downstairs was packed We didn’t even bother with dessert. Entire experience was very negative and not up to the«fine dining» standard the restaurant likes to promote.

This is some serious fine dining in Chamonix. You can get fondue, raclette and tartiflett many places, but they do traditional all with a special touch. Careful when ordering in France, if you order fondue or la pierreade, the price printed is per person, you can’t ask for one fondue to share among a crowd. That’s just the culture of dining here. The menu is full of variety too. I will say the food was excellent. The terrine and frois gras was delicious, the tartiflette to get cozy with, and the pork breast was the finest i ever tasted. This is a great restaurant and they know it. expect to spend €. Minus a rushed attitude from the hostess when the dining room was nearly empty, it was a fine experience.

We ate out every night for 5 nights and this was our last night and our favorite. It was such a nice place and the food was excellent. We had the sushi and escargot to start and then had the special which was tuna tataki which we seared on a hot plate at the table. This was a great lively place in the heart of Chamonix.

Très bon restaurant La salle est très grande mais bien disposée. La carte est très vaste et permet de trouver son plat facilement. La cuisine est très bonne. Bref une très bonne adresse.

Ate their twice on two consecutive nights. Sure it’s not eating on the cheap, but if you’re willing to spend, I don’t know, about 40 euros a person(not counting wine or cocktails) what you get is really quite outstanding in every way. Whether you’re considering food quality, presentation, décor, ambiance, friendliness, helpfulness, menu variety, this is a «don’t miss». Just on desserts alone this place would merit 5 stars but there is much, much more.

We definitely left this place feeling ripped off, and it made us very hesitant to go out to other Chamonix dinner joints. Luckily, we had a great time at Munchie and Atmosphere, so check those out before going to Le Cap Horn. At Cap Horn, we had a party of 6. Four people order the fondue, and my boyfriend and I decided to order the steak special, advertised at 49 Euros. The steak we had was perfectly cooked and delicious, but when the bill came we were charger 49 Euros each… so 98 Euros for a steak. There were a few carrots on the side, also well cooked; however, the price did not add up. I felt like we had been bamboozled. The other 4 were also very disappointed in their fondue. They felt like it was overpriced for the items they received, and we all agreed that this was the worst meal of the trip. It gets an extra star for how well the steak was cooked, but beyond that it was a disappointment.
