Une vraie bonne brasserie dans un quartier où les brasseries mauvaises et chères sont légion.
Dans un cadre disons le des plus simples: petites tables en bois rapprochées, le Resto propose une très bonne sélection de plats du jour.
La cuisine est relativement simple mais très bien réalisée, servie généreusement.
La carte est sinon assez classique, salades copieuses mais pas données (18 €), excellents Burgess.
Le service est charmant. Mention spéciale pour le patron incroyablement gentil: un plat n’avait pas satisfait mon amie qui n’a rien dit quand les plats ont été débarrassés. Le patron est venu en personne. Non seulement mon amie n’a pas payé son plat mais ils ont offert des cafés gourmands pour toute la table… Du jamais vu dans le quartier.

The «XV» is a rugby reference, and this place is true to its name. Decent food (no complaints about my canard confit with fried potatoes), and a good beer selection. Ambiance is a little too bright and noisy (the pop music station over the PA was overkill). But if you’re looking for fortification while catching a Champion’s League or Six Nations match, you have come to the right place.

Walking around Paris on May 1 is a challenge. Nowhere is open except for a couple of cafes and maybe 1 museum (or 2)
Lucky for us, we found Café Au XV du Rond Point
They offered a full menu with omelets, a lovely-​looking onion soup and crepes. And if your mind goes more towards desserts, they had flan & all kinds of treats
Wine, espresso drinks — just about everything you could think of
The Mr & I went for the cheese plate with baguette. It was heavenly. The cheeses ranged from mild cheddar /​Swiss, to a soft, stinky Brie and the blues were especially delicious
The wine was fruity and bold and smooth as could be. Paired well with each of the cheeses & I loved the fact you could order by the glass, 2 glass-​carafe, half or full bottle
Perfect break from the rain and extra love for being open on the holiday!
