I would give this zero stars if I could. Over priced, TERRIBLE food, which was definitely frozen. They sell regular, bottled water, but«only for take out». If you want to drink a bottle of water with dinner, it costs about 7 euro. We sat by the window and actively told other Americans to find somewhere else. Terrible, terrible, terrible.

Worst meal in Paris. The only reason they are not getting just one star is because the service was friendly. The food was terrible and they charged $ 1 — $ 2 more on every menu item as compared to much higher quality foods at other cafes around Paris. The cheese platter was just like cheese I could buy at the grocery store in the U.S. The bread was extremely dry, and my husband’s crepes weren’t hot and fresh. We think they were made much earlier and then microwaved. They even left the sticker on my Brie for crying out loud(see my photo)! Absolutely awful. Shame on me for not checking Unilocal first!

I can’t believe how this place isn’t closed yet with so many bad reviews. TOURISTTRAP! and terrible service too! They call themselves a creperie, however they don’t even bother to put the filling inside the crepes! disgusting

I went here with friends without really checking out the the nearby restaurants. The waiters were a little rude to my friend who placed his head down to take a break due to our long day since we walked all day. I got a crêpe but it tasted super dull. The prices were also extremely high for such low quality food. The service was also extremely slow even though it wasn’t that crowded. Paris is still one of my favorite places for food but this is probably the place with the worse customer service, extremely unwelcoming for foreigners traveling and visiting the tower.

It was okay. Just okay. We came in very early in the morning. We were greeted right away by the server. Very matter of fact guy. The coffee and hot chocolate were very watered down and not great at all. But the eggs and omelettes were decent. Croissants were fantastic. Given that the breakfast was hit-or-miss, you definitely don’t get what you pay for. We noticed later that the breakfast set menu is about 3 – 4 euros more expensive than the other cafes in the neighborhood. Our experience wasn’t terrible. Waiter didn’t try to scam us. But all in all we think there’s better value to be had elsewhere.

Whenever you picture a Parisian café near the Eiffel tower, a place with an affluence of tourists, you pretty much expect a nice experience! Hold your horses there, because café Le dome is here to ruin all your dreams! If you’re into 7 euro«freshly squeezed» orange juice, they have some flavored water for you; if you prefer a good 15 euro salad they will serve you some lettuce with a couple of slices of tomato. All this would be fine I guess if it was not served by the most unpleasant waiters that Paris has ever seen(slow, complaining, rude, etc.). I’d rather have an overpriced dry sandwich on the curb with tap water than go back to this place!

This was our first place to eat in Paris and it was pretty good. For starters, we could see the Eiffel Tower from where we were eating. So that was a great experience. The food wasn’t bad but what gave Le Dome the 4 stars to me has to be the escargot. They were so yummy and served with a baguette to eat the escargot with. The waitor we had was nice and the restaurant was in a very convenient location.

The views, the majesty of the eiffel tower,(or tour diefell, if you want to get laughed at) and the company of the woman I love could not increase this place’s star power. Throughout Paris, sodas are more expensive than the drugs they were named for, which is fine, but 9 euros for a mug of soda is a travesty. The waiter, who was pleasant enough throughout, was explaining that tax was included, but the tip was not. That was a lie. Not a fib, a distortion, or an accident. He told us what amounted to a BIGMAC, or whatever that awful sandwich at BK is. On the menu it says service is included but he was taking advantage of tourists. I think only drunk children should be taken advantage of, and I am uncomfortably sober and too old for the kiddie discount. Hated this place and if the leaning tower of eiffel falls over, I hope it falls on this place. The food obviously sucked.

Tourist trap near the Eiffel Tower. So hungry we stopped. The waiter seemed angry at us for no reason. We ordered a margarita pizza and got a disgusting frozen cheese pizza. The wine was also awful. My first day in Paris in my life and I wasted part of it here. So disappointing.

I can’t tell you much about he food here, others seem to be dissatisfied. But we were walking back from the Eiffel Tower and looking to have a glass of wine and a nosh… and this seemed like a nice spot. We stopped and had some macaroons and a glass of Chablis and I had a cappuccino, it was very pleasant.

As said by many others, the only reason we decided on dining here is because it was close by the Eiffel Tower and looked reasonable. We made a grave mistake. Shortly after our arrival a homeless man entered who incessantly talked to himself for our whole dining experience. Our waiter dropped a glass cup and didn’t bother to clean or apologize. My friend that ordered beef tartare looked like feces that came out of the butthole of a dog. The pasta looked like they just boiled ramen noodles. My hamburger steak was just ground beef with no seasoning. When our waiter discovered we were from America, he was extremely rude to us. A dining experience like this should only be found in the depths of hell. Avoid at every cost.

As mentioned below, the food is atrocious and overpriced, and our waiter(an old man) was absolutely horrible. During dinner, he dropped a glass which shattered all over our legs. He didn’t say a word to us, and didn’t clean up the glass for a good 10min as new customers walked all over the sharp pieces. After we mentioned that our beef was undercooked, he mocked us and scoffed when learning that we were American. This place is a disgrace to Parisian cuisine, and I wish I could give it 0 stars. Café Le Dome, please do yourself a favor and get rid of this waiter. He was my single unhappy experience in Paris and it seems that other people agree.

Service was prompt and understood my english and poor attempt at french. Le Dôme breakfast was delicious. Coffee, OJ, berry confite, fruit salad, omeltte and bacon. Hit the spot after a morning of bicycling around Paris.

We were with a group of four, and one of us wanted to try this place. My niece said that my boeuf bourguignon looked like dog food. It did. Poor quality beef, the only flavor came from the salt and pepper I added. My other niece had a lemonade…10 Euro!!! WTF!!! Many better choices nearby. Try one of those.

The beauty of Paris’s non alcoholic beverage scene is in it’s five star hotels, not in its busy bar brasseries. Bar Brasseries beg for me to patronise them, I feel bad if I don’t support them as they are the ‘heart’ of Paris. But they have a terrible tendency this trip of mine to disappoint lately. Le Dome serves hot chocolate as the drippings of dirty dish water, for 6.40 €. I wouldn’t say its like mud, because it’s not thick enough; though I am, I haven’t learned yet that to order chocolat chaud from a Bar Brasserie in Paris is equal to a voluntary insult, a slap. Well, this time laziness is not my excuse(re last review at Place d’Alma cafes), but impatience for waiting to be at L’Avenue later today. The question begs me: should I just get my own powder and milk and make it at home? The atmosphere around Tour Eiffel is perfect, just finding somewhere decent for something tres simple is not. Another one to avoid, Le Dome.

OMG, how does this place have 1.5STARS? That half star above 1 is WAY too generous… This was the worst restaurant experience I’ve had in my life. The location was perfect! IT was a late evening after we went to visit the eiffel tower, and this was the only place open with BEER. Service was extremely slow(took 20 minutes to acknowledge us) and RUDE! I understand people have bad days and maybe you come off a bit harsh because of this… But the waiter we had was just«spit in your face» rude and insulting. Stay away from this place… I’m a pretty calm person, but I wanted to punch the waiter — it was one of those types of experiences… I won’t bother you with details but save yourself the anger and frustration, DON’T eat here! Read the other reviews as I wish I had before entering this restaurant.

If our terrible experience can help others aviod this restaurant, it will be the only good thing out of it. We entered because we were cold, hungry and tired, and we fell into the tourist trap. Awful plastic food, unpleasant staff, a soaked SINGLETOILET for the whole restaurant, accessible only through a set of steep stairs soaked with what I can only assume was pee, soap and water from the sink; and, of course, expensive. They hate tourists. So, if you’re ever hungry and tired and inthe area, just keep walking. A cold sandwitch on the street will be better.

STAYAWAYFROMTHISPLACE. Bad Food, Bad Service, Bad Ambience… I thought it was just us they were rude to, but after reading all the other reviews here, man they sure hate tourist; the only type of people I see eating here(and are obviously keeping them afloat). I live really near this restaurant and pass by it everyday. One day me and my friends thought of trying it out. Sadly the experience was bad. The food was HORRIBLE(all our steaks were dry and tough as heck & no salt on either fries or steaks). The waitress who served us was rude and unfriendly(but we gave her the benefit of the doubt because they were completely full that day and she was serving a lot of people). In the end she didnt even return our change after paying the bill. We asked for it but she just kept on delaying. So we just left and didnt bother with it. THE Worst restaurant I’ve tried in Paris so far.

STAYAWAYFROMTHISPLACEATALLCOST! Horrible management and customer service! We visited the Eiffel Tower and walked down the street and came across this place as the menu looked decent. We also wanted to sit out on their large patio. I ordered the steak frites and my girlfriend ordered a chicken dish. Both were average. We also ordered a pitcher of wine. Our bill came to 50 euro which was expected given the high prices in Paris. The problem came when we tried to pay the bill. Because we are from America, our credit cards don’t have the mini chips on the front of the card which almost all European credit cards have. As a result, the server and manager told us they could not accept it. They told us we needed to go to the ATM and punch out cash. They mocked my girlfriend and made her feel horrible. Every other reputable business in Paris accepted our American credit cards except for this place which leads me to believe that it was all BS and they were just discriminating foreigners. This was our first dining experience in Paris and put a bad taste in our mouth. Luckily, everything got better as our trip progressed. Spare yourselves… do not give your business to these crooks!

Point.
