Thank you Unilocal for this wonderful recommendation! Worth every star. Simple delicious food prepared by people who really care about flavor and freshness. Try the fried fish balls! Wow. The seared tuna was topped with a light slightly sweet relish of vegetables and mango that was perfectly balanced to bring forth the flavor of the sushi grade tuna. Also, perhaps the best haricots verts I’ve ever had: sautéed with rosemary and herbs. Kind staff really cared about our experience and we’re happy to translate into English.

Stopped here for dinner with friends, and it was fantastic! The service was excellent, the food was incredible, and the restaurant décor was very chic. I had the duck with mashed sweet potatoes and a small salad, I swear I have never tasted anything as good as those sweet potatoes. They were incredible. The duck was excellent as well and the salad dressing was very special too. You can tell they really put a lot of thought into the food, both presentation and pairing flavors. I also want to make it a point to highlight how well we were treated. Every member of the staff was so friendly and welcoming, and we were treated to an apéritif at the end of the meal! Such a lovely touch, as if we needed another reason to love this restaurant! We really felt at home here. Bonus: they have a really cool way of bringing the wine up from the cellar(presumably) — it’s a pulley system/crank elevator that was installed when the building was first built around 2 centuries ago, if I am not mistaken; I overheard the host speaking with another guest about it. I will make sure to come back next time I’m in Paris! Just lovely all around!

After reading glowing Unilocal reviews, my husband and I decided to try Chez Madmoiselle. Needless to say, everything was amazing! The food was not fussy, yet elegantly elevated, and the service was stellar! While in Paris, I highly recommend popping by this adorable little spot for a superb dining experience and penultimate service.

Found this restaurant on Unilocal. There are a great many good French restaurants in Paris. You will not find one that offers more than Chez Mademoiselle. Felix, the very affable owner, the staff, the food & the ambiance make for a perfect evening in the Marais. Wonderful location on a quiet corner, lovely décor, delicious food, good wine list & the citron tart are making it our choice for our last dinner in Paris.

Lovely spot away from the crowds to sit out with a glass of wine or enjoy dinner. More locals that tourists, but the waiter was accommodating with my English. A bit on the pricey side, but excellent service.

Charming little place. Excellent service, great food and good value for money. Passionate about food and that we had a good time. A quiet gem just off the beaten track. A very well rounded menu with delicious deserts. Even made a special off the menu request for a vegetarian dish.

We had an absolutely lovely New Year’s eve dinner at Chez Mademoiselle. I made a 9 p.m. reservation and was glad I had, since it was a popular place. The décor is lovely, whimsical, and elegant, with fantastic wallpaper on one wall and a crank-shaft elevator in the dining room. The couple who runs the restaurant both waited on us and generously walked us through the menu — and did so without making us feel guilty about our(non-existent) French! They were so friendly and welcoming and I would definitely go back — but not just because of them, because of the food! We had: –Fresh mozzarella. This was a special and we didn’t order it originally, but when the table next to us did, we had no choice — it looked THAT good. It was a perfect round of fresh, fresh, freshest mozzarella and even though we’d just spent a week in Italy, it was some of the best I’ve ever had. –The Salad Mademoiselle — delicious and inventive, with multicolored carrots and a light dressing. Fantastic crunch. –Foie gras — I’m the worst French traveler and don’t eat it, but my fiancée loved it. –Steak au poivre. Apparently this is on the menu year-round, and I can see why — it was superb. Tell the waiter how you like your steak cooked, but keep in mind that«medium» in the USA means«rare» in France. With that in mine, I ordered mine«bien cuit» and it arrived like a USA«medium» — perfect! The poivre sauce was incredible — creamy and peppery and the perfect accompaniment to the rich meat and salty frites. At that point, we were definitely too stuffed for dessert. Whoops! I would definitely recommend Chez Mademoiselle to travelers in France, especially if you don’t speak French and are nervous to try a more classic bistrot where the staff might not be as patient. Go here first — the food is as good as anything I had in Paris, and the staff is warm and friendly.

This was our favorite place we ate at during our week long trip to Paris. Tucked away on a side street, this was a wonderful find. The food was excellent, the ambiance was charming and intimate, and the service was fabulous. I speak some French and my husband speaks none — so when I had a couple questions about the menu(which is in French of course) that I didn’t understand, our lovely waitress responded in perfect English. My husband had the steak, and I had the St. Jacques scallops. We started with the fois gras(heaven) and ended with the lemon tart with the speculoos crust(which was served with a huge pot of whip cream). Everything was delicious and it was one of the highlights of our trip to Paris. The crowd was predominately French, with a couple tables(including us) who were speaking languages other than French. They were playing movie soundtracks as their playlist that night — which I was loving. It’s not everyday you can eat fabulous French food in a romantic bistro while listening to the Dirty Dancing soundtrack. It made our dining experience a little quirky and definitely memorable. Will definitely be back on our next trip to Paris.

So it was our first night in Paris. Don’t think we will dine anywhere else. The scallop Carpaccio was unbelievable! Then the Filet au poivre with mash and salad cooked to perfection! Awesome! Top that off with a Mousse au Chocolate. The perfect meal. Worth mentioning: awesome atmosphere, lovely, engaging hostess(English speaking) and host. Definitely not a tourist trap. The real deal! Don’t miss it!

Love it! Although, my rating is always based on the taste of the food, it is worth pointing out that both the atmosphere and the service in this little bistro are spectacular! Here is what we had: — Filet steak with peppercorn sauce and mashed potatoes. Excellent! Five Stars! The steak was a nice thick cut of filet, cooked to a perfect medium rare, sprinkled with just enough fleur de sel on top, tender and juicy. The sauce was exquisite, creamy and peppery — if it was socially acceptable, I’d bathe in that stuff. — Fish and Chips. Excellent. Five Stars! The fish was lightly battered and pan fried to perfection. It was light, airy, moist and juicy. The potatoes were just as amazing as the fish — nutty and sweet and savory. Wow! The mayo/sauce tartare that comes with this dish is home made and a perfect match with fish and potatoes. — Chicken provencale with creamy polenta. Another five star dish. Chicken was moist and the tomato based provencal sauce ensured for an excellent combination. Polenta was also great. Now for the service — Five Stars! I can’t wait to go back.

The lemon tart with speculos crust. I have to start with that because that was the highlight of my dinner at this beautiful restaurant hidden away in the backstreets of the Marais. In fact, all the deserts at our table were pretty outstanding. From the honey glazed pineapple which was then torched(?) to the chocolate mousse… make sure you leave room. The restaurant is owned by a young married couple and has been open for about a year according to them. It has a beautiful ambiance and great lighting which make it a perfect place for a romantic dinner at twilight. They treated us to amaretto digestif after our check when we told them we were their neighbors. Classy! We started off with the mozzarella ball which I do not recommend(just 250 gram ball of not so spectacular mozz cheese). I wish I had tried the foie gras or another appetizer. Our table of 4 had 3 different fish entrees and one beef filet and all were superb but slightly sparsely garnished. My sole had a side of green beans… meh. My wife’s filet was perfect and it came with potato purée which was delish. I hope to be back at this place soon to try other appetizers and desserts.

I just spent a week in Paris eating in cafés and restaurants multiple times a day. This restaurant was my favorite. The candlelit atmosphere is magical, the servers delightful, and the food is amazing. The freshness and combinations of flavors had all of us talking at length about the food. The fig tart with fresh cream was a highlight. The servers make you feel like you are at their dining room table rather than one of the many people who come and go from their restaurant. It’s located in a quiet corner, but it’s worth finding because it’s a treasure.

Stumbled here accidentally but with no regrets! We were a group of 4 without a reservation around 7pm but they fit us in, no issue. Many people in the restaurant were speaking English and the staff were very friendly. We had the foie gras appetizer, steak au poivre, veal with mushrooms, arrabiata pasta, and mousse au chocolat and they were all wonderful! It was our last meal in Paris and we were thrilled to end on such a high note.

Great find in Paris! Stumbled upon this restaurant in the Marais. Great little street corner location. Sat outside and the staff is super friendly and they all spoke English. The entrees and mains are all priced fairly reasonable and the food was all excellent! We liked it do much we came back for our last night in Paris and invited a friend(who is a local) who also loved it. Service was EXCELLENT and the atmosphere was great. Between us, we had the fish special, veal, chicken and several deserts. They followed up the meal with a shot of limoncello. Why not? Would definitely recommend.

My sisters, mother, and i passed by this restaurant on the way home today and decided to come back for dinner. So glad we did because it was fantastic. The food was delicious(get the salmon, the filet de bar, or the linguini with tomato and basil) and the desserts were fabulous. On top of that, the owners and the staff were absolutely lovely. Found out this restaurant was only 3 weeks old when speaking to the owners, though it seemed like they had been in business for years. Strongly recommend!
