Although this Eric Kayser is smaller than most, it’s open to Sundays. You’ll quickly learn while living in Paris that good pastries on a Sunday is more of a challenge. Head here to get your morning coffee and pastry and you won’t be disappointed by the people and food that’s here.

A wonderful place just across the street from the Louvre. Fantastic selections and superb quality. Great pastries and coffee. Considering the price of every other place in the neighborhood, this one is a gem. Very reasonable.

On a miserable Saturday afternoon when I was attempting to get in my pilgrimage to the Louvre, I realized that I would never survive the experience without a full belly. The problem was, I knew that just about anything right outside of one of the biggest tourist attractions in Paris would be a colossal rip-off, very crowded, or both. I was also well past the point of hangry, which was only exacerbated by the rain, and was therefore short on patience or desire to travel very far to eat. Thank God for International Data Plans, so I could whip out my phone, check Unilocal, and find this. The kind of place where you can grab a quick and decent sandwich, salad, and/or pastry is pretty abundant in Europe, for which I am so grateful. This was exactly what I needed – a ham and cheese baguette, side salad, and something sweet to eat while I re-composed myself for an afternoon at the museums. The first floor with the bakery counter, sandwich coolers, and cash registers is not very big by U.S. standards, but keep in mind that there is a second floor with tables. And also keep in mind-that’s not very big either! Remember, this is Paris. But at any rate, it was the perfect port in a storm. Warm, bright, and yeah, the meal set me back about 15 Euros, but it was good and satisfying. It even had a teeny little bathroom that I didn’t have to pay for, bonus! This is a good place to duck into for a quick meal before going to the nearby attractions.

I’m such a big fan of chocolate hazelnut praline so I got a treat here & it was delicious! I took my dessert for take-away as I was in a rush so I didn’t have the opportunity to enjoy the ambiance. When I ordered, I felt like everyone was very friendly and helpful. I think I would like to come back here in the future to enjoy their savory as well as their sweet foods!

Best pain au chocolat in Paris! The croissants, almond pastries, and tarts were all very good as well. This was one of my favorite places in Paris for their wide selection, convenience of locations, acceptance of credit cards, and overall food consistency. I knew I could get great quality here anytime. I would recommend going before 11am though, while there are still more options left(they sell out fast). It’s one of the few real chains I found in Paris, but I completely understand why it’s allowed to exist as a chain — because it’s something so great that it should exist in more than just one location. They take credit card with a 5 Euro minimum. Watch out for the closing time — it may be a good idea in Paris to buy desserts earlier in the day and save them for later because when you get hungry for something sweet this place might already be closed or sold out!

Absolutely in love with this place and its sandwiches. Their ham and cheese baguette was SO good that we still think about it and dream about it and hope to go back to Paris to eat it. place is a little pricey but the quality of food is very good and the store is nice and clean and the staff is helpful. Hope someone would fly me back a sandwich :)

Accueil un peu limite. Manqué de choix dans les pâtisseries et l’eau du thé limite tiède. Attention à né pas se laisser aller juste parce que le coin est hyper touristique. Mais ma pâtisserie était bonne.

Oh man … This place is so good! The bread is so soft and had a delightful taste. We ate here 3 times in two days and will likely come back for more! The girls working there are so polite and speak English really well. It is very busy at lunch, but they have so many boxed salads/sandwiches/desserts you can just grab and go!

We came into Eric Kayser by chance, avoiding the rain and needing lunch. What a lovely bit of happenstance! It was delicious! They offer a nice lunch deal of a baguette sandwich, dessert(from the refrigerated selection) and drink. One of the best priced lunches we had in Paris and really very good. My crème brûlée dessert was a bit bland, but the mister’s crème caramel was delicious. The sandwiches were great — on marvelous bread — and the service was very good. If I hadn’t stuffed myself full, I would’ve loved to try something from the pastry counter as well!

Another Kayser institute with seatings outside and also upstairs. A lot of choices and formulas to choose from. Extra charge for eating in but still worth it to take a rest and toilet break. We paid € 9.70 for a sandwich, drink and dessert. Chicken with sundried tomato baguette was delicious as the bread quality is always top notch, and our dessert was a chocolate tart which looks petit but packs a punch. The chocolate was thick and rich and the crust, buttery.

Best Chocolate pastry ever is all I can say. Went here 3 times, only once did I have any issue with not being able to Speak much French, but food is universal… also it was inexpensive, $ 2.00 for a fancy almond chocolate pastry, cheap compared to others I tried in town.

Do not eat here if you have allergies. Although the ingredients and allergens are listed, when I went to eat the slice of quiche I had ordered, there were pine nuts in it which were NOT listed in the ingredients or allergens. They told me the chef had decided to add the pine nuts. Very dangerous. Although they did replace my meal for free, I will not be returning here.

Seeking out the«best» croissant Paris had to offer, I’m embarrassed to say the reviews of Eric Kayser from those FoodTV shows about«The Best Thing I Ever Ate» totally had me intrigued to try out Eric Kayser Well, I’m happy to report that for once, this show didn’t steer me wrong — these croissants were AMAZING We ordered Cappuccinos & Croissants & the Mr also got Le Veg sandwich Order downstairs, pay, they’ll fix your goodies & put it on a tray for you to take upstairs to their eating area(it was too cold & wet the morning we visited to eat on the street!) Coffees were good but small — we ended up ordering 2 more to go. The milk to coffee ratio was okay but not outstanding The Croissant, on the other hand, was incredible! Flaky & buttery & crispy on the outside yet soft & delicate on the inside — words can’t describe these pastries. You just have to get 1(or a dozen) for yourself! The Le Veg Sandwich had eggplant, zucchini, tomato & onion — the Mr found it very flavorful and said he would order it again Overall, this was well worth the hunt & we sought out Eric Kayser every morning we were in Paris. Only downer was that we were too late to grab goodies for the trip back home! There may be a Starbucks, 2 doors down but there is NO comparison & no choice! Eric Kayser all the way!!!

I absolutely loved waking up in the morning and walking to this bakery! Everyone is really nice and there’s usually someone who speaks English. The macaroons are too die for! The croissants are delicious with Nutella… uhh my mouth is watering!!! I tried a couple of their other pastries and have to admit it was all great! Can’t wait to go back one of these days.

Stopped here for a grab and go lunch. I wish there were more grab and go places of this quality in the US. They had a pretty large variety of grab and go sandwiches/meals. I went with a pretty basic meat/cheese on baguette. I also bought a box of macaroons to eat later that night after dinner. My friend bought a small lemon cake also. Both of those deserts were awesome. They had so many different types of macaroons too… and tons of other deserts. The staff was very friendly and helpful explaining things to us americans that didnt speak any real French.

Can’t go wrong here. Love the baguettes, love the coffee, love the pastries. Friendly staff. I was looking for a particular pastry called St Honoré cake, and they didn’t have it(I was hoping they would, since they are right next to Rue St Honoré) but the guy behind the counter told me a few places where I could find it. Very helpful.
