What a find! Walking from my hotel on Carnot on my way to Av. des Ternes I saw this restaurant across the street. It had a very casual and comfortable atmosphere with tables at sofas and comfy chairs as well as typical dining chairs so I strolled over to look at the menu. To say it was interesting is an understatement, so I went in. The staff was very friendly and attentive. And the food. Wow. The menu changes weekly but I had the Saumon gravlax for an entrée and the Daurade et pure’e de panais for main dish. They were wonderful. For desert, I had the mille-feuille grue’ de cacao. This was amazing; I have never had anything like it. The only reason I don’t give a 5 star is the menu is limited. Please know, though, that what they offered me was fantastic. If you are in the Arc de Triomphe area, take the 5 minutes to walk there. You won’t be disappointed.

Happened to be staying in a hotel close by and while walking through the neighborhood saw this place was very busy. The next evening we were tired from a long day at the Louvre and decided to stop in for a glass of wine and a bite to eat. The owner is very friendly and gave great suggestions that were spot on for both wine and small plates. The atmosphere and décor is similarly warm and inviting. Stop by, you won’t regret it!

A foodie friend, who is already a regular, suggested we meet at Gabylou for a girls lunch. First off, the service is terrific — thank you Sarah and team! The menu, while limited, is excellent. The choices for mains were fish, chicken or beef, and it looks like the menu changes regularly with the season. I really enjoyed my fish(lieu jaune) with quinoa and vegetables, while the rest of the girls said their chicken was awesome. The fries were perfection, and we enjoyed a very good cheesecake for dessert. There’s an extensive drinks menu including beers from local brewers, Deck & Donohue, and Gallia. The décor is charming, rustic, chabby chic. We will be back!
