My wife and I stayed here with my mother for nearly two weeks earlier this month(April 2015), and we love this place. Located in the heart of Paris in the bustling upscale 7th Arrondissement(the Rue Cler neighborhood), this hotel is mere steps away from some of the finest cafes and shops in the district and a one-minute walk from the Metro. Set back on a lush, tree-lined street, Hotel Prince is also just around the corner from the Eiffel Tower and just down the street from Napoleon’s Tomb. In addition, there’s a good-sized grocery store just around the other corner and a big post office about a block and a half away(where you can mail all your souvenirs home at reasonable rates — 55 Euros for a 15-pound box). As is true of most European hotels, the rooms(and the showers) are small, but our rooms were comfortably furnished and appointed, and the staff will literally bend over backward to do anything they can ensure your stay is a memorable one. These people believe in customer service, and we felt like family while we stayed here. Our room had a double bed and a balcony that overlooked Avenue Bosquet(ask for this view for sure). Mom’s room was a single and looked down into a quiet courtyard. All rooms have television(although who comes to Paris to watch TV?) and free, reliable Wi-Fi. The cleaning staff is quick and efficient, and at no time did we notice any of the staff had rifled through our belongings while we were out exploring the City of Lights. Additionally, there’s a safe in each room, and a manager/concierge is on duty 24⁄7. Finally, the hotel is right next door to Le 7e Vin, one of the quaintest restaurants in the city, where you can settle in for a long, luxurious meal for about what you’d pay at an upscale steakhouse in the States(about 175 Euros for three, which included appetizers, entrees, much wine, and dessert). Sure, Paris is the place for luxury accommodations, but we were more interested in spending our time(and money) out in the city, not in some hotel room. That said, this is a wonderful value at a moderate price. And again, we just can’t say enough great things about the staff and their willingness to provide the little extras that made this trip the best of our lives. They also provide a shuttle to the airports for 18 Euros per person, and the service is fast and reliable. I’ve stayed at a number of hotels in Paris over the years, and this was my finest experience so far. Luxury it’s not, but it’s clean, safe, comfortable, and smack dab in perhaps the finest neighborhood in all of Paris. Don’t miss this place. Oh, and if you stay here, don’t forget to start each day with a 30-second trot across Avenue Bosquet to La Terrasse café, your go-to spot for fantastic coffee, hearty meals, and a smiling, accommodating staff.

My wife and I stayed at this hotel for 5 nights. The rooms are your typical small European style room that you would expect to get for the price. There was a in-room safe which was nice. The location of the hotel is great. It is very close to the subway, bus stops, restuarants, the Rue Cler, and a 10 – 15 minute walk to the Eiffel Tower. The problem though that I had with this hotel was the inconsistent temperature of the shower. Other than that our stay was great!
