If you love truffles then you have to come here. The staff is friendly and sweet. We got there a little early but they sat us down. As we were looking over the menu she brought some bread and this tiny cup of cream with salmon to spread on the bread. On the table is a bottle of extra virgin olive oil with truffle. Definitely dip the baguette pieces into the olive oil. Everything on the menu looked amazing. We ended up ordering the cesar salad with truffles, the beef tartare with truffles, tagliatelle with truffles and foie gras and the risotto with truffle. On the menu are two kinds of truffles, seasonal and black melanosporum. The waitress said the seasonal truffle goes well with cold items; the black melanosporum is for hot items. When it came time to order the waiter told us beef tartare is better with the black melanosporum. My husband and I were in heaven. Portions are huge! We should have ordered three items as oppose to four. The risotto is super creamy which my husband loved. I loved all four of the dishes. After four dishes there was no room for dessert. On the way out we picked up two bottles of the extra virgin oil with truffles as gifts. Cute store, tons of truffle items to choose from. Highly recommend this place!!!

La Maison de la Truffe came highly recommend by my wife’s coworker. I was quite excited to dine here after hearing all dishes feature truffles. As we dined across the street at Le Relais de l’Entrecôte, we were able to get a peak at what we’d be expecting the next night for dinner. Everyone was dressed in formal attire so I made sure not to show up in jeans and a t shirt. We had made reservations for the first seating and arrived promptly at 7. It was quite cozy having the entire restaurant to ourselves for about 15 mins before the next couple showed up. Was a bit surprised to see them wearing jeans and a fleece sweatshirt. Guess the dress code isn’t strictly enforced here, but if we were to come back I’d definitely wear biz casual so that I wouldn’t feel out of place. Out came our drinks along with warm baguette which I’d recommend dipping into their truffle evoo that is placed table side. For starters we ordered the Caesar salad w/their seasonal truffle. It appears that all Caesar salads here include chicken as the protein. If we had known better, we would’ve only ordered one appetizer or salad to share as the portions are of a decent size. The salad was well seasoned and wasn’t overly dressed in salad dressing. Loved the toasted mixed but bread they included as it was damn tasty. Second appetizer we decided on was the beef tartare w/their black truffles. One thing to note is that the black truffles aren’t as fragrant but they have a super powerful woody/nutty flavor. The beef tartare was good but once again after eating both appetizers I was starting to get full. Next out were our pasta dishes, we orders the tagliatelle w/black truffles and foie gras and the black truffle risotto. We had to thoroughly mix the tagliatelle as the truffle cream sauce was all on the bottom. Surprisingly this pasta dish wasn’t super heavy as I had expected. The black truffles went well with this dish and the pasta was served slightly over al dente. The highlight of the meal was definitely the black truffle risotto. Thinking back I wonder what this dish would’ve tasted like with the seasonal truffles vs the more richer black ones. The risotto was perfectly cooked and was super tasty. I don’t even want to think about how much cheese went into this dish but am pretty sure I gained 2 lbs after eating half of it. Would definitely come back but definitely order less food.

This place is amazing. Our waiter was extremely friendly and helpful. The food was incredible. By far the best restaurant in Paris we’ve been to. Prices are high but worth it. This was an experience I’ll never forget for me and my partner. You must visit at least once.

Normally I don’t write reviews but this time it was so awful that I decided to write about this place. We ordered pasta with truffles and st Jacques– neither was eatable, truffles were sterilized, not fresh, hence they didn’t even smell like truffles! Surprisingly, even st Jacques were not exactly from the fish market — stiff and overcooked.

Where can I start with this place. The service was horrendous Me and my wife when it is nice romantic place for dinner and what we got was lousy service and subpar food. Every time we needed something we had to ask three times to three different servers. They seemed uninterested and inattentive to our request. I ordered the ribeye with seasonal truffles why my wife ordered the steak with foie gras. I know what you thinking why order steak at a French restaurant? Bad mistake! Ibelieve a good restaurant knows how to cook a steak and if cooked properly the steak will taste great. Both of lacked flavor and needed a seasoning. The steak I ordered was thin dry and lacked salt. I also ordered a vodka martini. The first time they put ice in it and I sent it back. I explain to them that I did not want a sweet martini just chilled vodka shaken. They brought back the same drink without ice! After dinner was over it took another 30 minutes just to get the check they seem more interested in serving customers around us then me and my wife. When we finally got the check and they overcharged us for two bottled waters when we only ordered one. My wife question the charge and it seems like the server already knew what she had done which seems very suspicious. My wife and I are not food snobs and are not difficult to please. But it seems like this is too much to ask at Maison de la truffe. I normally don’t even write reviews but I feel like this was justifiable considering we were just enjoying a week in Paris on our baby moon and was looking forward to eating at this restaurant. We will definitely not be going here again ever. Please save your money and enjoy other establishments around Paris.

Truffle heaven! Fantastic wine and champagne list too! We split the white pizza with black truffles for an appetizer for four of us. There was a generous amount of truffles on the pizza. And it was delicious! I had the risotto with scampi and seasonal truffle, which was very flavorful and not too heavy. My husband had the truffle burger. Be sure to ask for a medium well or well burger or a medium is more like medium rare in the states. The burger was also fabulous! Fantastic evening dining outside in Paris!

Do you like truffles? How about truffled truffles? Or truffles topped with truffles? Then come here ASAP. We were at the end of a Paris visit an popped in with no res on a Saturday night around 10. We just wanted wine and cheese, so can’t really speak for a whole dinner here. Almost everything we had was fab: rocket salad with Parmesan(really big), truffled cheese selection(Brie with Mascarpone truffle center, brilliat savarin, and chèvre), and the white pizza. The pizza was a little bland with just truffles and rocket, however we jazzed it up with more truffle oil, truffle honey, and some of the chèvre and it was delicious. Add a great bottle of Saint Stephe wine and we were so happy on our last night. A bientot, Truffe!

With no place reserved for our first night in Paris, we stumbled upon Maison de la Truffe and decided to go in based on the pleasant atmosphere and the fact that it was starting to drizzle outside. We were seated right away by a staff that spoke good English and offered the free wifi password. The menu has tons of options, most involving truffles in some way or another although you can opt out if you prefer. Being a huge truffle fan, I ordered the black truffle and foie gras pasta. I DIED. No really, I died. It was fantastic. Throughout the meal I kept commenting on how great it was it was THAT good. I’m drooling just thinking of it now. The truffle came through but wasn’t too overwhelming and the foie gras was soft and creamy. I wanted to eat here again and again. It has been the best meal I’ve had so far in Paris.

This location is newer than the one on Place de la Madeleine and the dining room here is easily twice the size — Great if you want a nice, pleasant dining experience for lunch or dinner! There’s less of a selection in the boutique section(not a bar-like section like the other location, but rather, a small corner to the right of the entrance of the restaurant) if you want to take home truffles or foie gras, but the dining room here is much larger :) The menu is great and fit for any budget. If you want to splurge, you can pay a premium and get any dish with black truffles. If you want to enjoy the luxury of having truffles without breaking the piggy bank, you have the option to order almost any dish with their seasonal truffles! For instance, their tagliatelle pasta with seasonal truffles is around 26euros, and with black truffles is around 41euros. They also have a lunch special Monday~Friday for 29euros! If you would rather dine-in instead of taking to-go, I would recommend this location over the one at Madeleine!

Another fabulous Paris restaurant. If you like truffles… I mean if you love truffles, this is the place for you. TRUFFLEEVERYTHING. This is a very pricey restaurant that serves an amazing amount of truffle items, and they actually give you the choice of what level of truffle you want: white truffle, black truffle, expensive or super expensive. As you walk in, you will have to pass the retail counter that stocks hundreds of heavenly delights. You can buy a large variety of truffle cheeses, salts, oils, truffles, foie gras, caviar, and anything you can think of that is delicious and expensive(If I won lottery, I would walk in and ask for one of everything). The menu is full it great choices and as mentioned before, there are plenty of truffle choices. I suggest an appetizer and a main course, and if you are dining with someone, each of you should order a few items, then share to get a better variety. I found the truffles to be heavenly, opulent, mouth watering, and all in all… perfect. Once again, if you love truffles, you have to eat here.

This is a newer location of the famed Maison de la Truffe. New enough that our hotel concierge was not aware of it. She insisted it didn’t exist. We insisted it did having walked by two evenings prior. She said it was not listed. We showed her the listing online. She dialed and got us an immediate reservation, eyebrows up, and reminded us that she had not recommended it… but to let her know if we enjoyed it. Ah… the French. :-) This is why I come to Paris, seriously. This was the perfect restaurant for our last night in town. Healthy doses of everything one comes to Paris for — foie, fromage, champagne, caviar. You name it. We started with the champagne/caviar«special». 25 euro for a generous pour of champagne and a small serving of caviar. «Small» is relative — probably more than what some will shell out for first class on an international airline based on the«caviar/no caviar» distinction. Not enough to really want to move on. Just right for a starter. I wish I could remember what I had for a starter. It was probably foie, although I’d like to believe that I branched out behind that, I probably didn’t. It wasn’t memorable — but I may have been on a canard overdose at that point in the trip. My main was a seared foie topped pasta. The foie was pleasant enough. The pasta was too al dente for my tastes. No matter… the real star at the restaurant is the option to add truffles to almost any dish. Black, white, or seasonal. Seasonal is generally the least expensive option — and we were in luck that the seasonal truffle was also the most expensive normally. No room for cheese or dessert. I would have loved cheese but my taste buds were shot. The restaurant is an easy walk from most any hotel in the 8th. I would return again, albeit it earlier in my trip when I might appreciate it more!
