Came here cuz half of the restaurants in the city were closed on Sunday, so we happen to walk pass by and decided to take a chance and try it. They had a few waiters, but the most helpful one is an older guy, he’s super friendly and took time to explain menu options to us. We ordered beef carpaccio, escargot, onion soup, and lamb with rice. All dishes were very good, he even told us we get second plate of beef carpaccio for free(he said standard practice in Paris). We had two glasses of beer, no dessert cuz we were full after starter and entrée, total bill was 85 euro(15% service included). Compare to other french restaurants near champ elysees, this one is the most reasonably priced.

Stumbled across this restaurant as the one we’re planning to go to was closed for the season(summer). To summarize it was quite a bad experience. Didn’t get the right food or wine that we ordered to start with, and when we actually got what we ordered it was not very tasty. The servants were stressed out(perhaps understaffed) and we had to put an arm up in the air for at least 5mins before they actually came to serve us.

With only one night in Paris on our most recent trip, our hotel recommended this restaurant just off Champs de Elysees to my wife and me. We had a table at an open window, perfect for the beautiful late summer evening. We split a bottle of wine and relaxed after a day full of sightseeing. The staff was very accommodating for us as we are non-French speakers. The food was good; she ordered a seafood risotto special that was incredible. Definitely enjoyed the experience and would love to go back.

During our trip to France we had dinner on our second night here. The atmosphere was very intimate and relaxing. Our waiter was helpful, spoke excellent English and gave great food recommendations. We had the escargot and French onion soup to start. For our entrees we had the veal and cod special in a lemon butter sauce. The citron butter was outstanding.

Our garçon was so friendly and witty — and the food was also very delicious! He steered me in the right direction with the Beef Bourguignon special that night. An excellent casual place to grab dinner near the Champs that doesn’t have a 30 minute line up.

Five Stat service and great food. Strolled in on a rainy night with 6 people. The reception we had was superb. Spoke English and had great sense of humor. Got the lamb, beef and French onion soup. Chocolate desert was excellent as well. Salad was not great bun main dishes were excellent. Meet was not overlooked so don’t ask for rare.

This is a great place for a relatively quick bite to eat. This is the first place I tried escargot and I was hooked for the rest of my Paris trip! Their half chicken was full of flavor and well portioned with a small salad and fries. We did have to chase down our server for our bill but he seemed to to be the only one attending to the guests one other than a lady behind the bar and a gentleman casually manning the host podium.

In Paris on business and ended up having a night to myself. After a late finish, stumbled across this little bistro. Nice and relaxed service and ambiance. Prompt and efficient service. Had a smoked salmon starter which was very generous and tasty. I followed this by having(on my part) unimaginative Chicken and Chips. This was nice, but the chicken was a bit dry. That said, it did the job. Had a couple of glasses of the Sancerre which was very nice. Whilst there are probably better places, this was more than functional. Even better(for me!) they spoke enough English that we could both get by! Not too expensive either. Would recommend if passing!

Little authentic bistro near the Champs Elysees. As a foreigner, I get a real Parisian feeling in this restaurant. The food is good, the interior very warm with a lot of wood, classic touches and a great patron! I would definitely recommand this place for a lunch or a simple Dinner on friday or sundaynight if you visit Paris!

Food isn’t bad but that’s about it. The dishes have nothing to do with food from Lyon either. The staff, with a few exceptions, is quite rude and doesn’t care about the customer. Prices are way too high for what it is. Atmosphere is nice when the place is empty but because of all the people who work in the area that’s never the case.

Horrible food. Over priced. Chicken was overdone and not edible. Veal was tough. Would not recommend

Just enjoyed a wonderful meal here with friendly service. Our party of 6 was seated promptly at around 9:00 pm. We had the beef tartar which was very good — flavored with capers and just needed a dash of the provided Worcester sauce. The vegetable tart was really delicious. Very creamy with asparagus and yellow peppers as well as tomatoes and cheese. A side of salad with the excellent house dressing — tangy with a great mustard. The onion soup was very good — not disappointing. The lentil salad with pork lardon was very satisfying served with a bit of undressed salad. The shrimp and avocado was satisfactory. The roasted chicken with fries and more of that yummy salad was also satisfactory. The salad with duck was also very good. Shrimp with tomato sauce was good for our pescetarian visitor. Ice cream and sorbet were solid desserts. crème brulee and the apple tart with vanilla ice cream were very good. It was«correct» as the French say — what you would expect to get for what you paid and not at all disappointing.

Nice quaint bistro. Lots of great french charm and friendly staff(patient too). Fish of the day was good and the sauce that went with it was very complimentary. Desserts were terrific.

Great place that is just far enough from the tourist-y parts of Champs-Élysées. They don’t speak much English here so expect something a bit more authentic, but note that you’ll need to either know French or be able to point to things. Service was great, the hostess was a friendly elderly lady that kept our bread basket full throughout the meal. We shared a foie gras and escargot — the escargot was especially good and cooked with rich flavours, although they got stuck in the shell and needed a bit of work to pick out the meat. I had a roast chicken leg, which is a pretty standard French dish. The leg was a bit fatty, but it was nothing a good glass of wine couldn’t deal with. HUGE portion of it though, left the meal feeling quite full. We wrapped up with a mango, coffee and strawberry sobert(three scoops). Great finish to a great meal, good price points(~30 € per person, 45 incl wine).

The concierge at our hotel also recommended this bistro to us when we asked for a casual restaurant that would be a short walk from our hotel. The service was pretty friendly, although clearly the ‘regular’ customers garnered much better service… which I would probably do the same if I were the owner. The food was just ok. The salad was just butter lettuce, bleh. For Paris, really, it was not so great. The restaurant itself is charming and exceptionally clean.

This is your typical bistro. However the owners are super friendly and the service was amazing. My food was good although the confit de canard was really cooked tough. The chacuterie plate was nice. Wines are also very good… what else is new in paris. I would not go at of my way to dine here but if you are in the 8th ere near the champs-Elysees I would say it is a good safe bet.

My wife and daughters just finished our dinner at Le Bistro Marbeuf. Amongst the plethora of restaurants in this area of Paris, this establishment seemed to present a good menu and friendly atmosphere. We chose the 36.5 Euro prix fixe menu because we had our eye on the foie gras appetizer option. Note that this is not hot/cooked foie gras but more like a foie gras pâté as we discovered to our dismay. The main courses were reasonable in choice in the fixed menu and very tasty. I had the skirt-steak with Bernaise sauce– a fairly common restaurant faire around Paris it seems. The steak was cooked medium(slightly bloody) but was tasty and soft. My wife had the veal in a mushroom sauce, which she expressed was tasty as well. The kids were in no mood for anything fancy so the owner cooked them up a basic pasta with butter(little did we know how expensive this was going to be.) The prix-fixe included a few dessert choices. My wife went for the basic cheese plate, which was a good wedge of camembert with some garnish. I went for the apple tart with ice-cream, which again was average. A few things to watch on pricing: 1. The basic boiled pasta with butter was charged 12.5E each, or 25E total! I basically bought the entire nights worth of pasta consumption. 2. We were charged 7.5E for a bottle of water. Most places charge a lot less. The waiters seem to just bring this to all tourist types instead of bringing the tap water bottles that are free. Overall, the food was good but watch for the extras that sneak in.

The concierge at our hotel recommended this restaurant when we asked for a restaurant that was«where the locals» eat, offered a good value and of course great food. Since we were perhaps the only non-French patrons in the place it certainly hit on that request. But the food was excellent although the prices were a little on the high side yet still a value and not out of line withe other restaurants in the heart of Paris. I would recommend this fine restaurant to my friends with confidence that they will have a great meal in a rastaurant with a warm ambience.

We had a really nice experience in this little café, not far from Champs-Élysées. The service was incredibly friendly(I can’t stress this enough) and made us feel very much at home. This is not exactly common in Paris. The proprietor was very attentive and warm, and we watched her direct her staff with great efficiency and class. I rarely say this much about service; it was really outstanding. As far as food goes, it was simple and delicious. We started out with a classic cheese and meats plate, which had four different cured and smoked meats, and several cheeses. As nice as this was, the highlight was the mason jar of pickles that they put on our table. Gorgeously crunchy and sour homemade pickles complemented every bite. The lamb special was our main, and though I wasn’t thrilled with it(ground lamb surrounded by lamb shoulder) it was good, simple, homemade food with fresh ingredients. I admit I felt somewhat jealous of the gentleman sitting near us who went with the onion soup — that looked and smelled divine. We topped it all off with a smooth espresso and more smiles from the wait staff. We never made it back to this neighbourhood on our trip, but if you’re around Champs-Élysées and looking for an authentic bite, I can recommend Le Bistro Marbeuf in a heartbeat.
