Of all the preset dinners I attended as part of a tour group this restaurant did a decent job of serving dinner. I’m told the specialty in Paris is the duck which I was served tonight and I did enjoy the crispness of the skin and flavoring to the duck. The escargot was bland and the house wine was awful so the average rating was given. How can one serve bad wine in Paris? Well, they did. My friend was served ham hock which actually tasted so much better than the one was served to me in Germany during this trip. So Unilocalers need to start rating these restaurants more. The ratings are so inconsistent.

Best place for a late, late night dinner. We ended up walking around town & then hungry at 3am! walked into this place with not much expectation and were blown away! the service was awesome, the food really good(I had grilled veggies) & the crème burlee was surprisingly well done. Highly recommended for anyone in this area!

The food was great & the first healthy meal I had in Paris! Grilled Salmon with vegetables & a buttery sauce was perfection.

A rat in a restaurant?!! Couldn’t believe my eyes… The food was horrible and I couldn’t bear with it. Complained to manager and he said all of the restaurants are the same around here… Really!!! Tourists should be aware!!!

The worst meal we had in Paris. We were waiting for a waiter while a French couple next to us sat down, looked at the menu and left. I guess we should have followed them. My boyfriend ordered some steamed muscles that came in a pot with ham. They were okay. However what killed it for me was our second dish. We ordered the crab with mayonnaise. I have no idea what they did to this crab but it was tough and fibrous. I didn’t know seafood could be that badly overcooked. It was revolting. When people tell me how all the food in Paris is amazing, I think of this place and laugh.

We spent a bone evening a great price. Sauerkraut is Verygood, although plentiful, the staff just a little cold. Basically, the evening is going very ben and then we are at the center of Paris. I would choose.

Our last meal in Paris, heading for Germany the next day, so this Alsatian restaurant seemed like a good transition point. Continuing the hybrid theme, I ordered Choucroute De La Mer, seafood with sauerkraut. Better than expected, particular the combination with smoked fish. Service was adequate, not overly attentive, not nasty.

In 2007 after a cruise on the QM2 with my almost blind nephew, I showed him Paris, at least as much as he could still see. We spent a lovely afternoon at this place, so I wanted to show my sweetie where we had been. We went Sunday around noon. At first the waiter thought we should eat inside as outside was only for drinks. As soon as we were ready to move inside, he changed his mind and let us stay. He set the table for us. We had a lovely Flammekueche, an Alsatian specialty, a sort of flatbread pizza with bacon, onions, and cheese. Also Jack ordered 6 «unknown seafood items» which turned out to be clams. I ended up eating 4 of the 6 since he could only tolerate 2. They were fresh, tasty, served with lemon and a type of red onion vinaigrette. We both had the steak tartare which was nicely seasoned. It came with a huge mound of French fries which Jack loved. They brought ketchup to the table! He gobbled those up. During the meal the sunny sky turned black and we had a downpour. We moved one table over which was under the awning and kept enjoying ourselves. After a short while the sun came back out. Ah, springtime in Paris!
