Waiter did not bring water as requested, although they were happy to bring all the wine we ordered. Guess they couldn’t be bothered to bring out the free water. Had a vegetable Tartine that was topped with canned asparagus. The bread was thin, and the cheese was gummy. Also had a cheese platter which was decent and a Vegetable Sandwich which was terrible. Definite tourist trap. If the Louvre and Gardens Tuilières were not nearby, this place would be out of business in a month.

My husband and I had walked down Ru de Rivoli for hours and we were really exhausted. We decided to stop by the first café on our way to get something to eat. It wasn’t our lucky day I guess… We stopped by this restaurant and ordered crepes and French onion soup. The crepes was ok but I had better ones at the crêpe stands near the Eiffel Tower. The Onion soup… it was horrible… It couldn’t get any worse. It is hard to believe that I had my worst French Onion soup in Paris. The cheese was chewy like plastic and the broth didn’t have any flavor at all. It tasted like dirty water from the dirty dishes in the kitchen. After the second spoon, we left the whole thing. I didn’t have internet connection to check the rating of the place on Unilocal before we went in. When we got back to the hotel, I checked Unilocal and I felt sorry for ourselves to have come across this place when we were so desperate and tired. That was a lesson to plan our day better and go only to cafés that have customer reviews.

A bit pricey and cash only. It’s near the Lourve so I expect higher prices but no credit card was unusual. We had crepes. We made the mistake of ordering two plates. One plate was more than enough. The mochas were nice. The server was also extremely nice. Decent place for breakfast.

We popped in for a light breakfast and coffee early one morning before heading out with a tour group. It is touristy, obviously; as it is across the street from the tour group office. We had crepes and coffee and it was perfectly adequate. The service was quick but we didn’t feel rushed. It was exactly what we needed at the time.

Great spot by the Louvre. Very slow. Waiter seemed nice but the other waiters seem very lazy and not helpful. The food was terrible an d when I say slow service. It was very, very slow service.

It’s a tourist place. Waiter was super busy — felt bad for him. I saw some comfort food, a milk shake, fries and a grilled ham and cheese with an egg. Ummm. Hardly. They didn’t have any milk shakes, tried a apricot nocturne drink. Nope don’t carry that either.(It’s on their menu) the grilled ham was an open face with so-so quality breed, lots of cheese and an egg sunny side up, trying to escape. Ordered a soda. Was flat with 4 tiny ice cubes. The French fries was good.

I feel heartburn coming up just writing this review. With this place being right around the corner from our hotel, La Pradey, we decided to go for a quick snack one afternoon knowing full well that this is where tourists come to get ripped off. When we were handed menus in English, it should have been a clear sign that we were about to eat something that was very not French. We thought going for the very standard crêpe and croque monsieur would be safe choices to tie us over until dinner but who were we kidding. The food was terrible and service was borderline intimidating though our server said all the right things in decent English, which felt even more strange. Of course, it was expensive for the poor quality of food they serve. Such a shame, they had the perfect corner location with Hotel Regina directly across and the beautiful Lourve a stone’s throw away.

Cute little café located at a busy intersection right across the street from the Louvre. Service was decent. Prices were typical. I didn’t try the food here so I can’t speak for that but my mochacinno was ok. This place is definitely a great spot for people watching!

A bientôt
